Bottle thanks to Juan! Pours clear reddish black, light creamy brown head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is mocha, cocoa, bourbon, vanilla. Flavor is fully sweet, medium bitter, rich. Full body. This is a pretty high SRM, full bodied, well, stout like barleywine. Guess that is what one should expect given the two brewers in the collaboration. Its quite good, but I am left wondering what they could have done if they had just both played fully to their strengths and made an imp.

baraciisch (3473) - California, USA - DEC 16, 2017
Bottle from trade. Dark cola colored... Aroma of dark malts, caramel, vanilla, raisins, nuts, bourbon... Flavor is super fruity, tons of raisiny notes, caramel, dark malts, chocolate, nuts, vanilla and bourbon barrel notes on palate... really well executed barleywine ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: NOV 29, 2017 Refrigerated brown bomber poured into a glass. Black with small beige head. Aroma is dark malt, medium body, low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste the caramel, bourbon, some chocolate, a little oak, and hints of honey. Has stout characteristics in addition to being a barley wine.

GTAEgeek (2578) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - NOV 13, 2017
Shared bottle from Ryan (I think). Pours black, with a small, fleeting, dark brown head. The aroma is dark cherries, coffee, pine, charred oak, and whiskey. Very sweet and a bit bitter. Heavy body, with a syrupy, oily texture. A bit hot. A fun, boozy, and stout-ish barley wine.

Looks more like a stout than a barleywine. Light roasted notes, dark fruit, chocolate and honey. Tastes like a hybrid. Sweet and a touch bitter. Nice.
