750ml bottle obtained in a trade. Foamy mocha brown head with micro bubbles and very strong lacing. Smells of sweet bourbon and vanilla throughout. Smooth vanilla, chocolate and malts. Tastes smooth vanilla throughout. Sweet heat and bourbon as well. Nice booziness. Full mouthfeel. Lovely overall. Good job. aleigator (945) - GERMANY - MAR 4, 2017
Pours a coal black color with a foamy, huge dark brown head.
Smells of rock sugar enhanced vanilla bean atop caramel, molasses, toffee and milk chocolate. Bourbon is adding a sweet spice note to the nose, boozy and a little sharp, but gently wrapped up by the complex malt foundation.
Has a very thick, creamy and smooth mouthfeel with a nice spice peak to it, which lasts on the tongue for quite a bit. Showcases an amazing balance, holding the beers profound sweetness amazingly well at bay.
Tastes of toasty malts, melted caramel, flowery vanilla, which gets amped up by whipped cream and rock sugar. The barrel brings warming licorice, bitter chocolate, herbal sweets and fudge. Finishes creamy and soothing with lots of fudge and milk chocolate entangled vanilla bean.
This is pretty sweet, but it is balanced so incredibly well that its sweetnessgets perfectly picked up by the other flavors, creating an amaingly tasty dessert beer. koleminer20 (3976) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - FEB 26, 2017
Shared with ebone1988 and Gus for the Cycle Trademark Set tasting bonanza. 22 oz bottle, brown label. The pour is a medium black with a thicker khaki ring with a couple spots of lace. There is a mix of vanilla and vanilla extract on the nose. It’s a nice blend, but there is a little more sweetness to it than bitterness. The flavor is good. There is a nice vanilla and chocolate with a hint of roasted malt. The mix of extract and beans is good. The mouth feel is light and clean with a soft carbonation and a lingeringly bitter and yet sweet vanilla on the finish. There is a little more roast than I was expecting, but it’s nicely balanced and quality vanilla. As was so eloquently pointed out by Gus, these are like a lazy blowjob. They’re enjoyable, but it’s clear that the heart just isn’t in it.

Bottle. Black color, thick tan head. Aroma of vanilla, wood, sugar. Taste is thick artificial vanilla, bitter wood. ineedbeer (2257) - Oakland, California, USA - FEB 10, 2017
Poured from a 22 oz bottle.
Aroma is rather vanilla forward, especially as it warms. Lots of rich chocolate notes as well with some background dark chocolate notes. Light bourbon notes and hints of oak. Light roast notes and hints of caramel. Light alcohol spice.
Pours black with a medium sized, thick, dark mocha head that exhibits nice retention as it slowly recedes to a thin film that lingers on the edges. Light lacing and moderately long legs.
Flavor is fairly sweet with loads of chocolate with some lighter dark chocolate notes. Light roast notes with some faint caramel. Moderate to moderately strong vanilla character. Medium light bourbon with faint oak. Medium to medium light bitterness. medium light alcohol spice.
Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and medium low alcohol warmth.
Overall, a pretty tasty stout. lots of chocolate and vanilla with some lighter roast and caramel. the bourbon works well to accentuate the chocolate and vanilla. The alcohol spice is a bit strong and the mouthfeel could be a bit creamier. melush (4737) - SPAIN - FEB 8, 2017
