11.2floz bottle, no date, label is "Czech Rebel beer"," $1.75 unit cost, throw in a mix-six hoping I had a polotmavý style beer here. Appears with bubbling streams visible in the translucent golden body adorned with a s might, but contained white head. Smells like floor grains and mild raw vegetables (cauliflower, celery, and the like). Tastes like white bread with salt and pepper. Light, yet flavor so I'll give it some cred. This is a by mood beer - great for when I'd want an "Old World" tasting pale lager, more of a meh when otherwise.

11.2 oz. bottle. Pours a clear golden color with a foamy head and spots of lacing. Aroma of grain, bit of malt and hint of grass. Taste of light citrus, some malt sweetness and grain. Some bitterness and quite dry. Fairly light body, crisp, quite clean and bit short on Czech Pilsner character.

2015 BJCP Category: 3B Czech Premium Pale Lager

AROMA: Medium-high bready-rich malt medium spicy hops. Clean fermentation profile. Slight honey/lemon oxidation presence. 9/12

APPEARANCE: Somewhat dark golden hue (5-7 SRM). Clear body; plenty effervescent. Large white froth retains and laces well. 3/3

FLAVOR: Fairly strong bready-rich malt taste throughout. Akin to whole grain bread with a light caramel sweetness in the background (though that may be oxidation). Hops are quite prominent as well with spicy/peppery taste and assertive, dry bitterness. Balance is slightly malty, but the interplay is rather complex. Slight honey taste on the finish due to oxidation. Otherwise clean fermentation. 18/20

MOUTHFEEL: Medium body and carbonation. Smooth, comfortable texture (not crisp or spastic). Hops linger for a mild spicy, dry aftertaste. Feels like a much stronger brew than 4.4% ABV. Absolutely sessionable. 4/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: If this were fresh it'd definitely be a World Class example. A hidden gem hiding in your local beer store. 9/10

En noget kedelig øl. Tynd som en dårlig dåseøl. Det plejer de at gøre bedre i Tjekkiet

169 fluid ounce bottle. I bet I’ve never said that before. Crystal clear light gold colour, impressive head of foam. Lacing is good as well. The smell is of sweet bread backed by grassy hops. Not as sweet in the taste. Grass with bready malt that works for me. Grainy. Not like a PU but serviceable and...cheap.

Originally rated on 1/28/09. Mid yellow body, not much in the way of carbonation or head, some lace left behind. Crisp mouthfeel, some hop bite with hints of grass and sweet bready malts. Refreshing with a decent aftertaste, although i am not a big pilsner fan it was drinkable.

Bottle from Market Steer Wine Shop, Downtown. Clear golden with a small white head. Corn and cracker aroma. Flavor is sweet grasses, somewhat sweet, some corn, grains. Strangely dry and leaves a weird film in my mouth. It’s not horrible, but that strange film in my mouth is... well, strange.

Punkero (494) - FINLAND - JAN 14, 2017
UPDATED: JAN 14, 2017 Mild bulky aroma with faint malt. Sweet, but pretty light. Watery. Weak. Faint malt in taste as well... Not exactly very rebellious.

Light and almost a melon fruit flavor to it. Not certain if that is intentional but it was not that bad and it was refreshing.

floydslip (436) - Washington DC, USA - JUN 8, 2016
Clear gold beer with a slightly reddish hue topped with a bright crop of white head that takes a while to subside. Generic nose of corn syrup, musky hops, and light cereal grain. Flavor is standard pilsener with a subtle sweetness followed by some cardboard hops, although this one pulls it off fairly well. Definitely not my favorite style, but a decent beer nonetheless.
