Dark lager with a fine and yet significant coffee flavour (coffee extract added). Very popular especially among our female clients.

Draught at the brewpub. Chocolate and capuccino aroma. Sweet-burnt combination flavor: chocolate, coffee, cream. Well-balanced and tasty, not at all strange.

On-tap. A - Deep brown to black color with ruby hues on the edges. Large beige thick, creamy head. Good retention with a fair amount of lacing left over. S - Strong rich coffee smell is upfront and in charge. In the background there is some roasted malt and a hint of chocolate, but these all definitely take a back seat to the coffee. T - Strong dark roasted coffee taste hits the mouth. The first couple of sips, it is hard to pick up anything else. Then some more roasted malt, slight chocolate, lactose and vanilla come out. There is a slight bitterness to the taste, but when the later flavors grew a bit stronger, it gained a bit sweeter taste that complimented the bitterness. M - Medium body and moderate carbonation. Fairly creamy. D - Pretty good drinkability, but it really depends on how much you are in the mood for coffee flavors. Bitter and sweet are well balanced. Notes: Not a bad beer, but it is somewhat reminiscent of an iced coffee as it is a bit one-dimensional. A pretty good coffee beer that is worth trying though. I had it after dinner and it made a very nice digestif/dessert.

Tap @ Piv. Dum. Pours dark brown with a creamy lasting head and lacings. Cold coffee nose. Quite raw and one dimensional. Taste is like chewing on coffee beans. Medium , dry and sticky.

rozsoma (1023) - Gyõr, HUNGARY - NOV 17, 2009
Nice beige head, dark medium to full body and soft carbonation. The fine coffee flavour attain me as i taste it. But it was one-dimensional with this coffe note, and it was served too cold.

On tap at the brewpub. Similar to their tmave, but with extra coffee. I prefer the more subtle original.

Marko (5711) - Split / Zagreb, CROATIA - OCT 5, 2009
Draught at the brewpub, shared with a friend (thanks Ivana!)
Poured a murky dark brown/red going black with an off white head that went away really slowly. Strong caffe latte nose, pleasant malty and cofeeish taste, light roast and bitterness. Quite tasty.

Christian (13670) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 13, 2009
Dark brown with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of coffee beans and chocolate, really nice for someone like me who is generally not a fan of coffee beer. Sweet toffee malt flavour, with just a touch of coffee. Rather plain

Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 6, 2009
Dark red-brown colored with little beige head. Coffee dominates this aroma with some milk chocolate tones. Thin to medium bodied. Flavor is also roasted coffee in start, aftertaste turns to sweet and caramelly. Rather watery palate, otherwise ok.
