3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Very malty aroma and flavor, with toasty bread and caramel flavors. Somewhat sweet finish with almost no hop flavors. Nothing special but nothing bad either.
Taps, yes, clear amber with a thin eggshell head. Aroma offers fresh malt and fruity tones plus a hint of honey. Flavor delivers the malt and fruit, then adds woody hops; honey peeps through as well. Mouthfeel features fairly firm body and decent fizz, and leaves a woody hop finish. A-ggie good ale! cubs (10745) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JAN 4, 2013
Tap @ De La Vega’s Las Cruces. Pours a dark amber orange appearance with a small tan head. Toasted caramel malty, a touch nutty aroma. Kind of spicy yeasty, caramel, toffee, a bit nutty flavor. Slightly watery. jimmie65 (330) - Texas, USA - JUN 10, 2012
UPDATED: JUN 14, 2012 Dark amber with a medium head. Strong aroma of malt. Lightly sweet with no bitterness, a little sour. Smooth medium body; you can definitely taste that several malts were used in the brewing.
Aroma was the best part of the beer. It’s OK but the lack of any hoppiness is rather boring.
