Its beer thats about it. Probally the reason why it’s on sale every time I go into the LCBO. Don’t bother with this one.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2017 0,5l z lidla, jasne złoto, słodowe, lekko goryczkowe, piana w pierscieniu, czegos mu brakuje ale daje rade.

eunck (225) - Msida, MALTA - SEP 27, 2017
Style typical beer with nothing to complain about really. Slightly sweet but at the same time also a bit more bitterness than average for the style. Does not go down as easy as some others, but still very drinkable.

DOC: 3/21/2017

2015 BJCP Category: 5C German Helles Exportbier

AROMA: Malt-forward nose of clean, raw grainy malt with a touch of honey (though that could be oxidation). Slightly sulfury, but tolerable. Hops are muted with faint floral/earthy scent. 8/12

APPEARANCE: Brilliantly clear gold hue (2-4 SRM). Large, white froth retains and laces well. 3/3

FLAVOR: Tastes of pure, clean barley. Sweet with a slight honey note (though far from cloying). Hops have faded but still can be detected as a mild spicy/earthy taste and gentle bitterness. A background note of mineral water with slight sulfur is not distracting and complements the palette well. Slightly sweet aftertaste. Clean fermentation. 14/20

MOUTHFEEL: Medium-light body; medium carbonation. Smooth, refreshing and quaffable. Feels a bit lighter than 5% ABV, but could probably be sessioned easily. 4/5

OVERALL IMPRESSION: Has that Dortmunder character for sure; too bad it's not fresh or it'd be a World Class example. 7/10

kryspin3 (154) - Sosnowiec, POLAND - SEP 14, 2017
Jasne złoto, klarowne, piana obfita, mało trwała, drobne i średnie pęcherzyki, zostawia lacing. W aromacie słód pilzneński, nieco brzeczkowy, trochę dms-u - gotowanych warzyw, kukurydzy, nieco kredowy. W smaku wyraźnie słodowe, biszkoptowe. Słodkawe. Trochę kukurydzy. Nieco ziołowego chmielu na finiszu. Goryczka niska do średniej, średniej długości, typowo chmielowa. W posmaku wytrawne, kwaskowe, mineralne.

bilcho1 (93) - Ruse, BULGARIA - SEP 2, 2017
Can from the local shop, drunk at home. The beer was drunk, not me. Pale gold in colour, a finely beaded head that lingered a little. Bread and yeast at first, not a whole lot in the middle, with a crisp bitter finish. Not much different from a thousand other lagers, and not much better either.

Brettsky06 (520) - Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 23, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 23, 2017 Not bad for such a large scale beer. Decent grainy sweetness to it. Bette than expected

Nebusz (83) - POLAND - AUG 7, 2017
Aromat zbożowo-chmielowy z lekkim akcentem siarki. W smaku chmiel, charakterystyczna niemiecka goryczka znacznie bardziej agresywna niż w czeskich pilsach, poza tym zbożowa słodowość. Wysycenie średnie, ciało średnie w kierunku niskiego. Barwa złota klarowna, piana drobnopęcherzykowa biała. Poprawny Dortmunder, przyjemny i pijalny.

Koelschtrinker (21489) - K?ln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUL 29, 2017
Weich herber, kaum hopfiger Antrunk. Keine Bitterkeit, getreidig, mild würzig. Bleibt hinter der etwarteten Herbe zurück. Okay. 10/9/8/8/8/8

Zlotta (3808) - Hagen / Düsseldorf, GERMANY - JUL 29, 2017
Sampled from 0.5 l bottle from ’trinkgut’ (Kaldenkirchen), best before February 2018. Clear, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Sweetish, slightly grassy aroma of grains and some straw. Sweetish, slightly grassy taste of grains, straw and some cardboard, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a bit grassy finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay, not very tasty.
