bierkoning (13349) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - OCT 26, 2003
Slight orange aroma. A little hopbitterness, with some orange in the flavor. Just a bit of soap in the aftertaste. Another average German lager....

Clear golden robe, generous white head with a decent stickiness, but short-lasting leaving just a film. Herbal and bready aroma, very malty with notes of hops (saaz?). Light bodied, sweet grassy taste and a decent bitter dry finish. I'd give it better notes wouldn't it be of the unpleasant DMS character.

aracauna (3599) - Georgia, USA - OCT 13, 2003
This is a surprisingly tasty beer. It's nothing that you wouldn't expect, but it's a very well executed lager I think. There's a very crisp body with a bit of a spicy hop bite, especially at the end. I actually consider this a pretty tasty lager, almost pilsnerish.

UPDATED: FEB 5, 2004 Head is initially average sized, frothy, white, mostly diminishing. Body is dark yellow. Aroma is moderately malty (grain, cereal, bread), lightly hoppy (herbs). Flavor is moderately sweet. Finish is lightly sweet, lightly bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Feed-bag smell, too sweet, husky finish. Blah.

DAB is a bit cheaper than its overseas counterparts, and i dont really know why, cos it isnt worse than them. A nice malty aroma with a quite full beginning finishing with a crisp, dry finish. cheers

Not a bad beer, but nothing special. Wouldn't be a bad beer to mix with a night of pizza and baseball.

dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - OCT 2, 2003
UPDATED: JAN 23, 2004 Bottled. Light yellow color. A very slight skunkiness in the nose and the taste. Very watery body. A hint of bitterness, but mostly tasteless, apart from the skunkiness. Re-rate: Had a case of unskunked bottles. Although still a bit too mild, I really liked the creaminess and the slight malty sweetness. This + no skunkiness makes it a really enjoyable lager

Jedsbrew (465) - Rhineland, Missouri, USA - OCT 1, 2003
Gold colored with moderate head and not much lacing. Mild aroma, malty with a grassy note to it. Light bodied with some malty sweetness up front but it's mostly a dry, crisp beer. I liked it but it just seemed a little thin.

hops smell; washed-out yellow color with a slight white head; the taste is slightly sour with a bitter finish; not worth repeating

vwsteggie (684) - Paxton, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 28, 2003
Has a light golden/yellow color and a slightly skunked smell. Taste is your typical green bottle taste, skunked and finishes shunked. Overall this sucked like most green bottle beers.
