ante (3373) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 26, 2003
Pale golden with bubbly off-white head. Malty and metallic aroma with hints of green vegetables. Not much taste at all. Faint malt flavour with very small hints of toffee. very thin body.

UPDATED: OCT 28, 2003 The beer of choice at the local Oktoberfest. Of course, its the only beer available on tap. Serves a purpose. I chose to drink Erdiner Hefeweizen instead after only 1.

winkle (478) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - AUG 30, 2003
A well made but unremarkable beer. White tight head with abit of lacing. Light gold colour and a thin body. A hoppy nose with hints of citrus. Reasonable bitterness and a clean finish. OK

hopscotch (11101) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - AUG 27, 2003
Unremarkable beer in every way. Nice, large, fizzy, white head which lasts and lasts, but that's totally ancillary. Smells and tastes lightstruck! Totally ruins the nicely bitter hop addition and any hint of citrus in the nose. If you're in Dortmund, drink one at the brewery or freshly bottled. Otherwise, don't take a chance with this green-bottled horror.

Sully (1380) - Potts Point, New South Wales, AUSTRALIA - AUG 19, 2003
A clean tasting German beer with a good flavour. The pour is of a typical helles, light amber with a creamy white head. The beer itself is hopped well and the maltiness comes through. It is not exceptional but it ain't that bad either

bluevegie (3073) - Perth, AUSTRALIA - AUG 17, 2003
UPDATED: NOV 5, 2005 Good colour and nice fluffy lasting head, you can taste the malt at the start and then the hops comes through also with a little bit of lemon. Feels like something is missing though?

Suttree (6392) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - AUG 10, 2003
Bright Yellow and Sizey white head. Failed to make much of an impression after that. It was clean and crisp, and it did not have any "off" flavors, but not much else. Citrusy hop finish.

Beautiful beer.Crisp refreshing clean taste.Good balance of malt and hops flavour.Great lingering hop bitterness with a lemon tang.Excellent!

MaBeer1972 (2059) - Reno, Nevada, USA - JUL 26, 2003
Excellent in the Summertime or with a meal. A bit lighter and more refreshing than a Pilsner with less sticky aftertaste. The Dortmunder is getting to be among my favorite styles of beer.

Bready malt aroma. I was expecting skunk, but got none. Your average better-than-Bud German macro. Tangy hops in the finish.
