Brown ale which smells strongly spiced. Caramel sweetness and clove and cinnamon characterize the taste and the hops are far retracted in the final. Tasty, but not marked in any way. Its like you can not decide which flavor notes which must have dominance in the beer. Therefore, it quickly to a slightly mixed experience, where it is difficult to maintain the individual flavors. Definitely taste the Christmas and will fit nicely to the Danish Christmas dinner, but better alternatives can be found easily at the same price.

brnandersen (3542) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 28, 2013
50 cl. bottle, shared. Dark brown colour with no head. Yeasty aroma - rather surprising for a Brown Ale - with sourdough, partly fermented, some odd smoked notes. No caramel malts or hops. Light sour taste with a hint of smoke. Medium body with a slick texture and flat carbonation. Short, yeasty finish. Either an off bottle or a poor effort from the brewer. Drain pour that almost spoiled the Christmas dinner.
