4 oct 2016, tap. Dark Amber/nutty, clear, some occasional bubbles. Nose is sweet bread. Med/thin body and mildly fizzy. Sweet, bready, toasty, caramel. Ok. marcus (10138) - Sacramento, California, USA - SEP 11, 2015
On tap at California Craft Beer Summit. Pours Dark amber with a modest beige head and a toffee aroma. There is a thin dark malt flavor with nothing else. hombrepalo (1971) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - NOV 20, 2012
Bomber. Pours medium amber with a beige head that sticks around due to the good amount of carbonation. Aroma of freshly baked bread and malt. A little thin and somewhat spritzy on the palate. brokensail (16432) - Dublin, California, USA - APR 14, 2012
Pours a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Metal and bread on the aroma with a little bit of yeast. Maybe some earthy notes to it as well. Sweet malt, cardboard, a bit of sugar, and some yeast. There is also a little bit of metal on the finish. Just meh at best. JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - MAR 28, 2012
Bomber from Secret Santa Saarlander - thanks, Aaron! This is a style I still just can’t quite warm to, even when it’s moderately tweaked as this one is. Handsome pour, chestnut to amber, with a fluffy head. Rich, malty nose seems to style and the flavors are a touch less boring that the usual, with a dose of hops and a yeasty twist. But still quite bland.

22oz bottle. Rating #7. Clear medium brown pour with a sticky off white head. Nice toasted malt aroma, lightly sweet. Clean toasted malts again, dark caramel and pretty tasty overall. (2067) JohnC (3008) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - SEP 11, 2010
I had this beer on tap at Orange County Brew Ha Ha in Irvine, CA.
It was sweet w/ a hoppy finish, more bitter than I like in an O-fest Getbetter (1033) - East Palo Alto, California, USA - SEP 1, 2010
From a bottle,Dark Red,minimal head, a little sour(which wasn’t there last year),lite caramel, roasty,hay.Last year’s was better. golubj (1377) - San Mateo, California, USA - DEC 30, 2009
Bottle shared by alexanderj. Brown pour. Aroma and flavor have a strange perfumey malt and sweet grain. Same flavor present in other brewpub beers, with sweetness that seems fictional. hellbilly (3249) - scottsdale über alles, Arizona, USA - NOV 27, 2008
on tap at papago... dark auburn brown yet still clear with a soft creamy white head and lots of webby lacing. the aroma is very caramel-y and sweet with just a slight touch of roasty grainy dryness. palate is overly sweet and malty/grainy which makes for an unimaginative and weary brew. a touch of spice and some VERY mild bitterness show up on the finish. medium to full bodied from the sugars with a prickly mouth feel from high carbonation.
