(Rating #4839)

Dark body with ruby tones on the edges. Creamy head, leaves nice circles. Caramel aroma. Taste has also notes of caramel, toffee. Low on bitterness. Boring balance. Body is full, carbonation is high.

(tap 0,5l @ U Všech oslů (Brno)) Light caramel, light hops aroma. Brown color. All time light brown head. Medium sweet, caramel, light hoppy bitter taste. Medium body. Creamy texture. Light astringent, light dry finish.

On tap at Zelena Kocka (03/03/13). Dark brown pour, white head. Aroma is phenolic, maybe the most plagued of all. Aromas of grapes and plums, sweet cherries are also present but the phenolic background makes it all a tad medicinal. Taste is mineral, light roastiness, fruity sweetness. Unfortunately, this one will not be remembered in a positive way.

My Bottom Line:
Rubbery phenolics adorn this Tmavy’s roasted malt and herbal hop combo, as grape and cherry fruitiness attempt to salvage what could have been a very nice brew.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A fluffy head of foam decorates the reddish dark brown.
-An acidic touch is felt in the back.
-The soft, natural-feeling carbonation creates a very satisfying mouthfeel.
-Tobacco and earthy notes appear in the second half.
-The finish is relatively dry.

On tap at Zelena Kocka, Brno.
