This is a golden colored beer with four different full-leafed hops, the bittering hop being First Gold, and one of the flavouring hops being Goldings. An unusual set of roasted malts including malted oats. There is a hint of sweetness and a late bitter taste, characteristic of Yorkshire brews.

Novelty tourist beers...hmm...Tacky labelling but I suppose it sells to the Hartbeat fans. Other than the holiday souvenier value, there's no real reason to pick this over the myriad of far better Yorkshire ales. Then again, I could be biased from my preference for the darker brews it has a clean and moderately pleasing nutty taste. I really do feel however that the taste has been compromised to appeal to the casual drinker on holiday.

Bottle 50cl. poured into an English pint. Clear medium amber, mid-size creamy off-white head, mostly diminishing, heavy lacing; aroma light toasted malts, fruits, caramel; taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, bread, light toffee and fruit; dry sweetbitter finish, malty and fruity notes, lingering earthy touch; medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation; well-balanced and nice bitter.

Bottle from Gift Shop, Goathland. AMber coloured with a thin white head. It has a fruity and slight burnt toffee dlavour with sulphur notes on the woody finish. Not bad.

500ml bottle into an Abbot Ale pint glass tankard at home on 1st April 2016. Amber/golden body, thin white head that turned into a wisp and collar very swiftly. Light malty aroma and taste with a decent hop bitterness, becomes more sweet as it warms in the glass. Decent, again my sweet tooth gets a winner.

Hazy amber beer, small cream colour head. Palate is light and with a fine minerally crispness. Smooth light malts, traces of caramel and cream. Dried fruits with a touch of apple. Mild floralness. Semi dry finish. It’s nicely balanced, clean and drinkable.

ManVsBeer (10680) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - OCT 23, 2014
Bottle from Cheers Liquor Store, Todmorden. Deeper amber colour with a thin head. Loved Bill Maynard in the Confessions series and the handful of Carry On movies he was in, never really saw him in Heartbeat though for which his character is depicted on the bottle. Has a small fruity sweetness in its aroma and taste, not very stated but still good enough to enjoy.

PapaVillum (956) - Valby, DENMARK - MAY 8, 2014
500 ml, flaske, 4,5 % ABV, julegave fra Robert - tak! 8. maj 2014.

sfhodense (4788) - Odense NØ, DENMARK - MAY 14, 2013
Pours dark amber with a white head. Aroma is caramel, grass and earthy hop. Flavour is malt, grass, pine, caramel and earthy hop.

Christian (13685) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 16, 2013
RB Odense January tasting. Dark golden with a small white head. Aroma of citrus, marmalade and biscuit, with a faint roasted note. Sweetish malty flavbour with grassy and citrusy hops and a decent bitterness
