Not bad, pours a translucent prune into the glass, with an initial wispy head that reduces to nothing, leaving sporadic lace. The nose is of roasted hoppy fruit. The flavors are on par with the commercial description. There is some roasted malt, dark esters and English bitters around a tannic acid and biscuit flour finish. The mouthfeel is a bit like a hard cider with decent carbonation levels. Palate is light and fruity, but at the same time dry-roasted. Interesting.

Flat carbonation. Carmel and malt aromatics. Too thin and passive. This isn’t something I’d return to.

Deep amber-brown color, decent brown head. Aroma of fruits and caramel. Flavor is nutty-caramelly with some woody, salty hoppyness. Very typical English strong ale.

GranvilleTim (1855) - Granville, Illinois, USA - OCT 9, 2009
Ruby-red clouded pour with an off-white head. Aroma is malty with a little fruit aroma, some hops. The head dissapated quickly. Taste is smooth, littlemalt, some caramel. A little dry at the end, An easy ber to drink, little carbonation. Nice lacing.

It poured a very dark amber liquid with a small foam. It had a smell of caramell and malt. It tasted malty and caramell with some sweetness. It also had a slight alcoholic finish. It was a bit dry but easy to drink and a bit boring.

Voldby, DK. Bottled, 100809. Amber with small head. Aroma of malt and fruit. Flavor is caramel and fruit.

KnutAlbert (6754) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 6, 2009
50 cl bottle from Systembolaget. Nutty, malty, full taste. A bit fruity. Enough hops to balance this into a very decent beer.
