Brown to dark amber color; creamy head. Malty aroma, and caramel. Strong caramel taste, with some hops, but too much caramel (bitter) to be good. rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - APR 30, 2008
Bottle. Nice amber color, small offwhite head. Roasted malt aroma with some rubber notes. Roasted chocolate flavor, some bitterness, some spices. Chocolate finish, some cocoa. harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JUL 25, 2005
Bottle. I am with imdownthepub on this beer. Mahogany colour with a cream head. Dark fruits and malt on nose (black cherry) good malty flavours with some chocolate but mostly caramel and nice hop to balance. Not too sweet for a beer of this strength and very nice indeed saxo (18301) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - FEB 11, 2006
Bottled. Chestnut red low head and condition. Fruity raisin nose with a roast barley hint. Fruitcake and toast in the mouth and a swet malty finish. Doesnt seem as strong as the abv suggests. Oakes (17676) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 17, 2000
Kind of thin; fruity, dark malt, and a touch of earthiness. A disappointment

Deep amber-brown color, decent brown head. Aroma of fruits and caramel. Flavor is nutty-caramelly with some woody, salty hoppyness. Very typical English strong ale.
Bottle, 5.3%. Clear dark brown with small tan head. Aroma is malt, caramel and a little dark fruit. Flavour is malt, caramel, little sweet, little dark fruits, hop and a little bitter. yngwie (17053) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 5, 2008
Bottle. A copper body, clear, with a decent beige head. Roasted, sweetish nose with dried fruits and caramel. Full-bodied and a bit sticky mouthfeel with flavors of roasted malt, dried fruits and dark sugars. Roasted bitterness. Pleasant finish with dried fruits, sugar and roasted bitterness. A really pleasant one, possibly deserving a higher score. (080905) Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - JUN 22, 2009
