Bottle. Pours a dark brown. Reddish tinges down the side of the glass. Small tan coloured head. Great nose of rich malts, dark fruits and a little alcohol. Really good. Flavours unfortunately dont quite hold up to the nose. Sweet with light bitter finish. Thinnish mouthfeel.

espenra (1015) - Kurland, NORWAY - JUN 13, 2009
50cl bottle from Systembolaget. Best before 2010-02. It poured an amber orange colour with a medium big foamy light-brown head that settled down slowly in the glass. The aroma is fruity with notes of sweet roasted malts. The flavour is also sweet with notes of caramel, some unspecified fruit and roasted malts. It has a short aftertaste. Nothing special, but an overall nice and very drinkable beer.

Lemke10 (980) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2013
Pours a dark brown color with a decent head of foam as you take in the scents of malts with a hint of chocolate. It drinks much like a stout as it has that thicker and heavier taste to it. Nicely made and finishes rather smoothly. Something to try if you like heavier beers.

Cask @ Akkurat, Stockholm 1 March 2005
Dark ruby with a persistent head. Sweetish but otherwise in a good balance. Initially very clean, but in the end after warming up a bit some appely notes could be detected.

Tempting head and color. Nice "aly" smell. Hoppy and oaky but a little too sweet in the finish.
