Cask HP at The Crosse Keys Bishopsgate as Daleside Monkey Wrench, 5.3%. I misread the label and ordered a honkey wench. Time to book an optician appointment. Dark brown, opaque with a red hue, foamy tan head. Aroma is airy, some flat cola, dates, touch papery. Body is smooth, almost oily, with lowish carbonation. Taste is a touch thin, cardboard, raisin, some more watery cola, papery, carpet. Wishy washy finish. The flavour builds over time and its an ok beer overall. Grew on me. Wouldnt come back to it though.

FROTHINGSLOSH (7288) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 7, 2007
Sampled from a 16.9 oz brown bottle this beer poured a brown color with ruby highlights and a small khaki head that faded quickly. The aroma was light sour malts and fruity hops. The flavor was malty, vaguely sour and tangy with a light caramel element. The mouthfeel was a bit thin and watery.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at the Bricklayers.
Nice red brown colour but no head. Straight forward but nicely balanced malt and hops aroma. Alcohol shows in the mouth but in a really pleasing way. Creamy caramel malt, nice bitterness in the finish with some lingering vanilla after. An enjoyable all rounder.

500 ml bottle, bought in Scarborough. Possibly filtered, but probably not pasteurised. ABV is 5.3%. As a cask ale it was voted "Champion Winter Beer of Britain 1998". Chestnut coloured beer, rich off-white to beige head. Very nice malty aroma with oaky and vinous notes, also caramel and dark fruits. Malty flavour with caramel, some raisiny and vinous notes, moderate hops. Moderate carbonation, soft mouthfeel. A pleasant beer to drink.

Bottled. Copper colour with an off-white head. Quite malty aroma with some toffee and chocolate. Some licorice and tropical fruits in the flavour. Pretty sweet and malty.

Hand pulled pint at a Spoons in Tamworth before a Grimsby Town night match on 27th March 2012. Ruby/mid-brown coloured brew with an off-white head of closely knit bubbles. Aroma was both malty and fruity. Taste wise: it was again malty and fruity, a drier hop bitterness comes late on the palate but this is a primary a malty brew. Body depth is good and the alcohol sits well within the whole feel.

50 cl bottle from Systembolaget. Nutty, malty, full taste. A bit fruity. Enough hops to balance this into a very decent beer.

It poured a very dark amber liquid with a small foam. It had a smell of caramell and malt. It tasted malty and caramell with some sweetness. It also had a slight alcoholic finish. It was a bit dry but easy to drink and a bit boring.
