Dan Armor is like Brittany in a bottle: Cider made from fresh apples grown in the northwest of France, slowly fermented to create bright aromas and crisp flavors. No sugar was added to this well-balanced cider and it is gluten-free. Elaborated in Brittany, Produced with Breton cider apples.

UPDATED: MAR 4, 2018 Fairly rich earthy cider. Challenging but good aroma. Sweet green apples, supermarket apple sauce, a little earthy flavor.

750 ml bottle from Trader Joe's. Can't remember the price, but it was in the $5-$8 range. Pours bubble golden with an off-white head. Aroma is apple, funk, slightly sour/rotting, but not in a nasty way. Flavor is crisp apple - actual apple, not loaded with sugar. Slight sweet, lots of carbonation. Pretty good.

Funny to call this a beer ;) only because it is a fermented apple juice. Nonetheless, it is coming from the region which produces it i.e. Brittany, France and, that is overall a good point as we can taste it. A little too sweet for a dry cidre it tastes more as a semi sweet, but elegant, fine bubbles, pale orange color.

Bottle from New Beer Distributors. Tulip pour. Rich, clear, spritz, dark golden brew. Looks great. Smells of sweet Peary, browned apples and wood. Taste is more browned apples, but with a very pleasant skin dryness that invites the next sip. Faintly acidic, like a dab of citric acid. Sweet like pink lady apples. Light florals & a touch of pleasant musk. Solid quaffer. A decent introduction to better ciders.

Unusually dark orange pour. Round, sweet aroma of canned peaches and applesauce. Flavor is reminiscent of canned fruit. There’s an acidic bite and something that reminds me of artificial or preserved fruit. I don’t know if DMS is a possible result in cider, but that’s what comes to mind. Medium sweetness. A cut above the macro ciders, but not something I’m likely to buy again with so many better choices.

Bottle. Poured clear pale color with an average frothy white head that diminished slowly with good legs. Medium floral apple aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft legs. Medium sweet apple flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good drinkable beverage.

750 ml bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a clear golden color with a small off white head that disappeared into a ring. The aroma and flavor has sweet apples with a hint of funky cheese, finish has a champagne character, not my thing.

OnTheTrail (659) - Virginia, USA - JAN 1, 2017
Pours orange gold with large head. Aroma is subtly aplle. Taste is rich apple, like Apple sauce, moderarely sweet. Medium to thick mouthfeel.

mansquito (7507) - Nueva York, New York, USA - OCT 30, 2016
Trader Joe’s, Queens: pours gold with a dissipating white head. Aroma is apples and wood and such. Taste is somewhere between dry and sweet. Lingering sweet aftertaste.

scarletfire65 (1565) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 22, 2016
Bottle from Trader Joe’s. Deep golden color with a small ring of head. Sweet apple nose. The body is medium, the palate is bone dry with moderate apple skin tannins. The flavor is tart apple, aged, dusty, mineral, and a bit of funk. Very nice.
