Bottle shared at hotelroom tasting after Borefts Beer Festival Day 1. Murky orangy color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste wheat, a hint of tea, a hint of caramelised sugar, caramel bitter and a distant hint of unripe apricot in the background. Decent body and carbonation. Not bad.

Sampled from 0.33 l bottle at Best Western Woerden. Slightly hazy, golden amber with a beige head. Sweetish, malty aroma of caramel, honey and some cellar notes. Sweetish, slightly malty and spicy taste of caramel, honey, some licorice root, followed by a short, moderately bitter, quite spicy finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Just okay.

Bottle. It poured a hazy amber color with a white head. The aroma was of malts, caramel, yeast and floral notes. The taste was similar to the aroma with more malts, caramel, some fruit and floral hop notes.

BBD: 31/08/2015.
In short: spicy harsh ale.
Pours hazy deep gold with little white head. Short head retention, some lacing. Spicy, cinamon, malty nose. Medium body, average carbonation, oily texture. Taste is quite spicy, malty, some caramel and some harsh due to high alcohols-fusels.

UPDATED: JAN 13, 2015 9/18/2014 Bottle 330ml. Pours dark reddish brown, with a medium light colored yellowish head. Aroma is of strong sweet malt, toffee, yeast and some alcohol. Body is medium, slightly thick, with weak carbonation. Tastes lightly sweet, with a nice rounded background bitterness. Flavor is mostly of dark malt with some roasted notes. Some very noticeable alcoholic flavors, some esters, slightly fruity, some hop bitterness with fruity-herbal hop notes and mellow lemony sourness. Ends very clean. Quite nice, and balanced but not exiting. Too much alcohol flavor and too flatly carbonated. Easy drinking but not light. Not a beer to give much thought to, but it does have some complexity. 13/1/2015 On tap, small amount. Pors dark amber-brown. Tastes nicely sweet, with some nice gentle bitterness. Fruity and malty sweetness and some nice hops. Full flavored and quite not heavy. Slightly IPA-like in flavor, but not as hoppy. Nice.
