10 oz. pour, on tap at the brewery’s taproom during a Minneapolis taproom crawl (Harriet to Indeed to Dangerous Man) on 3-1-14. Pours bright, shiny copper with a small amount of beige head. Very nice look to it. Aroma features apricot, peach, cookie, butter, and caramel scents. Nice and pleasant aroma but could stand to be stronger. Flavor features peach, lemon, vinegar, and blonde brownie elements and is a bit boozy. Malty, fruity, and floral. Simple taste. Sweet finish. Medium body. Soft in a pretty unremarkable palate. This is not a classic IPA of any variety. It lacks bitterness, it lacks pine character, and it largely lacks citrus. The use of a single hop certainly features it and is a nice exercise, but it leaves the beer lacking in complexity. It was my least favorite of the beers I tried on the taproom crawl. It’s a disappointment compared to some of the other recent offerings from this brewery, which have been excellent. I slightly preferred Dangerous Man’s Vienna IPA, which I consumed immediately prior to this offering. TheHOFF43 (2052) - Robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA - FEB 22, 2014
Tap at Dangerous Man. Pours a bright golden orange with white head. Bursting hop aroma with plenty of citrus. Very little malt, excellent beer. BVery (10315) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - FEB 15, 2014
Tap at Dangerous Man. Rich reddish orange pour with a foamy head. Earthy pine hop notes with a bit of citrus. Smooth and fuller palate. Very nice brew. bnielsen13 (264) - Richfield, Minnesota, USA - FEB 14, 2014
On tap at Dangerous Man. Pours golden orange with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malt, citrus and piney hops. Flavor is almost oniony/garlicy hops and a malt backbone. I like this one.
