From a bottle at the RB cider tasting December 2016. Pours a clear copper no head. Boozy aroma. Heavy sweet flavors with some spice. A bit overbearing. drpimento (3570) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 19, 2016
Aroma is apples honey and spices. Appearances a clear medium dark amber. Flavor is honey spices and a hint of patchouli, which I detest. lupulist (348) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 4, 2016
Burnt orange colour. Aroma of wildflower and alcohol burn. Tastes fairly dry, with a hint of orange blossom and petrol. Drinks easy for 19%. dmac (6198) - Toms River, New Jersey, USA - JUN 17, 2016
Bottle shared by Ace at fire pit night. Poured a clear dark honey orange-brown. Aroma of sweet honey, herbs, medicinal and a slight hint of wood. Flavor is big time alcohol, sweet honey, herbs, slightly vinous. Body is a bit harsh with loads of heat. This mead makes no attempt to hide the fact that it’s 19%. kevinator (2176) - The Colony, Texas, USA - APR 12, 2016
First taste of mead and it was an interesting experience. Aroma was off-setting and smelled like sweet rubbing alcohol. Looked and felt like flat ginger ale. Very syrupy. Extremely sweet with honey (of course), ginger and alcohol. Not sure about it.

Sampled on draft this mead poured a dark brown color with no head and no lacing. The aroma was sweet, woody, smoky and medicinal. The flavor was sweet with a strong medicinal presence, band aid, tobacco, smoke, honey and vague alcohol. Long finish. Full body. The alcohol burn grows and overwhelms. jsporrer (982) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 13, 2016
Sample on tap @ Vintage Estates. Pours a light caramel honey color with no head. Aroma is sweet honey with a strong alcohol presence. Flavor is mostly super sweet honey with a big alcohol base. The honey is so sweet it masks the alcohol burn. Kind of like cough syrup but way too sweet. The too primary ingredients of honey and alcohol drown out any other flavors. Recommend for sipping only. It was actually difficult to finish the last swallow due to its over powering sweetness. edgallow (4146) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 25, 2016
Bottle pours golden with no head. Aroma of honey, herbs and fruit. Taste is sweet honey and herbs. Sarlacc83 (2287) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 13, 2016
Bottle shared by my friend during the Super Bowl. Thanks!
A: Dark gold, very little head.
N: Honey, hibiscus, leather, phenol, some heather, and rose petal.
T: Very sweet with a lot of the leather and flowers here.
M: Medium body, very light carbonation.
O: Tasty mead. There’s lots of flavor here, and I could see myself drinking quite a bit of this. slowrunner77 (11912) - Reno, Nevada, USA - FEB 13, 2016
i don’t know if it’s just the hibiscus that’s different here than in the GI Dansk Mjod (also hopped) - it seems cleaner too - and I enjoyed it markedly better. Very floral honey aroma and flavor, which go together nicely. Still a sweet sipper, but the florals cut through that a bit.
