Bottled. A nut-brown beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of peated whiskey, malt, and wood. The flavor is sweet with peated whiskey, wood, caramel, and malt, leading to a dry whiskey finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing. joergen (27984) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 27, 2011

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a clear dark orangey brown with a beige head. Nose has caramel, iodine and distinct peat - with a whiff of butter. Medium body, dry caramel notes and again loads of peat, tar and iodine. Ends dry and ashy with a subdued bitterness. Not the worst peaty beer. 260911 omhper (24980) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 18, 2011

Dark brown color; medium sized creamy head. The aroma from the peaty whisky is moderate, delicate, not overwhelming. The underlying Brown Ale has a quite ordinary caramel flavor that edges on the dry and dusty side; but it’s well complemented by a moderate smoked whisky flavor; there is also some chocolate and very light roasted malts.
The final is correctly bitter, with light roasted nuts and light whisky.
Pleasant, it gives a better statement than the Special Reserve 43, but it’s less seducing than the Special Reserve 21, also because of the different original cask used.
Bottle @ FOneFan. unclear dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is malt, peat, caramel and whiskey. Flavour is malt, medium sweet, peat, caramel, whiskey, oak, little vanilla and a little watery. Dedollewaitor (16056) - Odense, DENMARK - MAR 16, 2012

Bottle @ Ulfborg Mid March Tasting, 2012. Pours dark brown with a small creamy head. Nose is ashy and smokey. Peat and caramel. Medium and smooth body. Rough and rugged. Too peaty and one dimensional for my liking.
