from Au Grain d’Orge, Neuchâtel - slightly hazy brown colour with a little persistent beige foam; gently smoky with notes of caramel, sherry and wood; medium-bodied and with a low carbonation, some sweetness and a moderate bitterness; finishes a bit short and dry with notes of smoke and caramel - subtle and very well-made Ungstrup (37632) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 26, 2011

Bottle from Au Grain d’Orge, Crissier, SwitzerlandPinball (12155) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - SEP 26, 2011
Dark brown color; medium sized creamy head. The aroma from the peaty whisky is moderate, delicate, not overwhelming. The underlying Brown Ale has a quite ordinary caramel flavor that edges on the dry and dusty side; but it’s well complemented by a moderate smoked whisky flavor; there is also some chocolate and very light roasted malts.
The final is correctly bitter, with light roasted nuts and light whisky.
Pleasant, it gives a better statement than the Special Reserve 43, but it’s less seducing than the Special Reserve 21, also because of the different original cask used.
At yespr tasting. clear brown, smooth light brown head.
very strong aroma, lots of wood, roasted and charchoal malts, whisky. peat smoke. flavor is woody, roasted malty, whiskey, peat,
