The color is reddish brown but tangential to black. The foam is pretty, but quickly falls into a flimsy superficial foam. It smells malty and caramel and a bit synthetic sweet. The taste is certainly not as rich as you’d expect from a schwarz, but it tastes not bad either. It has distinct caramel notes mixed with hard roasted malt, good comfortable and long soft hoppy bitterness. In the middle of these tastes is a good fill. I would rather choose to call it a light schwarz or a very rich dark lager. It’s actually really good, if you just do not expect a kind of real schwarzbier. *Old rating, best before 07.04.05. Malzig und etwas neutrales Schwarzbier. Leicht süßlich-trocken, malzig-röstmalzig, aber nicht zu tief. Recht viel Kohlensäure. Neutral-malziger Nachgeschmack. MichaelAwesome (6519) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - DEC 21, 2013
MIt McTapps geteilt und mit McTapps bereut. Etwas erdig mit Anleihen von Huehnerbruehe und etwas Kaffee. Zu rauchig, um ueberhaupt positiv anerkannt zu werden. McTapps (6889) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - NOV 9, 2013
Beer pours out in a deep dark colour with low steady head and medium body. Aroma of malt and roast. Taste of malt, dark bread, leaves, woods and cough syrup. Very poor for a Schwarzbier with light smokey hints. Worse than average. aru (105) - Smørum, DENMARK - AUG 31, 2008
Dark brown with small light brown head. Roasted aroma so is the flavor. A little anomenous brew.

Clear brown with medium off white head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt and bready notes. Sweet flavor with hard roasted malt, grainy and liquerice notes. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 15, 2008
(Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of yespr. Pours a clear, orangey brown with a small, beige head. Lightly burned malt aroma. Medium body with a heavy carbonation and lightly burned malt accents. Dry, malt bitter finish. Poor. 140308 yespr (45412) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAR 14, 2008
50 cL bottle. Pours dark brown with a reddish hue and a lacing light tan head. Roasted malt aroma, mild grain roasted note. Roasted malt, light liqourice note and a subdued to absent sweetness. Goes into a rather hardroasted malt finish. Mainly roasted bitterness than hops. Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - MAR 7, 2008
Dark brown with a huge, creamy head. The aroma is sweetish with notes of roasted malt and mash. The flavour has a light sweetness, light notes of roasted malt, caramel and a grapefruit/burnt bitterness. The finish is dry with a very light hint of smoke. It’s a bit monotonous in the burnt bitterness. bager (2120) - Copenhagen N, DENMARK - MAR 1, 2008
Bottled. Dark brown coloured with a medium sized off-white head. Very sterile and quite boring. Hints of roasted malt, metal and caramel.
