Pours thick syrupy brown with almost no head. Aroma of burnt toffee, raisins, caramel malt, sweet booze. Taste is dark fruit syrup, burnt sugar, molasses, prunes, brown sugar and boozy oak. Hides the alcohol pretty well but it’s also pretty sweet. Not bad.

I wish they’d make this again! Pours dark amber and cloudy, sherry notes and complex full flavored yet smooth. Medium hoppy, well masked alcohol. Great beer.

This is the sour version. It is still called 3 guy off the scale and I didn’t see a separate entry, so I’m leaving the review here. Pours a rusty red. No head. No carbonation. Aroma, vanilla, chocolate, sour cherry, caramel. This is a great smelling beer. Taste- the sourness comes through a little more in the taste, but it’s still a pretty subtle tartness. It tastes like a chocolate caramel tart cherry dessert. This is really good.

Bottle shared by Drew, thanks! Pours a deep copper, mostly clear. Nose is lightly oxidized, richly malty and sweet in the nose. Sherry and malt. Clean and has held up well. On tasting, bit bitterness, clean alcohol. Richly malty and a nice sweetness. Clean and dry finish. Pretty damn fine stuff.

12 oz bottle shared by drewbeerme. Thanks, Drew! Pours a nice deeper amber pour, almost into the brownish range. A bit of glow on the edges with a deeper darker body, good haze. Frothy head dies to a film, laces small. Aromas offer sweeter sticky malts, toffee and biscuits, caramel and dough. Touches of red fruit, dried fruit, and gentle heat on the nose. Some raisin, bit of cocoa and dryness but still pretty sticky. Initial is similar, bigger body and a bit of heat off the bat. Sticky and carmelized malts, dough and caramel. Some red fruit, dried fruit, and gentle spiciness on the palate. Kiss of cocoa, heat, dryness from the alcohol as we move back. Warm and inviting as we get into it, it’s pretty impressive with the age on this. Gentle pit fruit elements, sweet malts. Kinda shakes itself out to something more impressive.

Bottle shared by Drew, thanks. Pours a clear deep amber with a gray head that starts and remains at the edges. Aroma has a strong caramel note with sweet grains and a hint of grass. Flavor has a combination of sweet and earthy grains with a hint of earthy grassiness.

Sour version. Completely flat. Probably a batch gone wrong at the brewery. It is acetoney. Soy sauce mixes with nail polish. Not very sour or good. Luckily i didn’t buy the bottle, I would be pissed if I did.

Marsiblursi (3076) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - AUG 18, 2012
(Old bottle) Pours hazy reddish brown with no head. The aroma holds leather, sour candy, ripe cherries/cherry lemonade, figs, raisins, grainy bread, caramel, milk chocolate, old hops and light touch of wet cardboard. The flavour is medium to heavily sweet, medium bitter and light acidic with notes of cherries, dark fruits, woodsy alcohol, robust malt, old hops and oxidation. The mouthfeel is numbing, round and sticky with a light carbonation. Numbing alcohol, cherry candy and malt on the finish. Medium to full bodied.
