On tap. Poured a hazy/cloudy yellow color with a frothy off white head. Floral, pine withe some citrus. Toasty. Not overly bitter with a somewhat weaker body. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - MAY 29, 2013
Horizontal throw down between siblings: Dark Horse Artic Dekoorc Eert (Citra), F.F. Dekoorc Eert (Falconer’s Flight), Edacsac Dekoorc Eert (Cascade)... and Crooked Tree are a base reference (and re-rate): Voodoo (667) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 26, 2013
Appearance Served in Duval snifters: As expected all the same with a golden hue, clean, fading frothy head, spotty lace. FF seemed to have slightly better head retention, and the CT best head retention of all (All four get a 3)
Aroma: Artic has moderate tropical character with some light catty dank notes, biscuity and yeast esters. The most forceful of the aromas but the dankness is what puts it behind the Cascade driven Edacsac (7). FF has juicy fruit gum note along with some herbal overtones, bready and slightly peppery. Sort of weak nose and nondescript (6). Edacsac has moderate citric overtones with grassy notes along with displaying more pale grains than the other two. (8) Crooked Tree has more straightforward bitter with a hint of citrus and tropical notes along with a hint of metallic vapours. (7)
Taste: Artic is oniony and alpha acid driven with some mango, peach and grains of paradise. (6) FF is twangy pear and apple like fruit notes with a lovely grassy and herbal center. Get a bit more malty notes with the FF than the Artic. (7) Edacsac is grapefruit rind, dragonfruit and moderate pepper with a slight metallic earthy finish. (8) The CT is more like the Edacsac than the other two, PNW citrus, some white pepper, garlic and onion is there too but much less than the Citra hopped. (7)
Palate: The differences are slight with the finishes being the only noticeable thing, Has mentioned above the Cascade Edacsac is slightly metallic (3), the Citra Artic is slightly astringent and more spicy (3), the Falconer’s Flight FF is cleaner and dryer (4) and the base Crooked Tree is quite metallic and even minerally (3).
Overall Interesting but as I expected I like the Edacsac the most, more balance profile and I liked the FF the least with a muddled hop profile... just like when I have used these hops when I homebrewed. I unlike most am not a fanboi of single hopped Citra beers and this reinforced that. (Artic 13, FF 11, Edacsac 14, CT 13)
Pours a hazy deop golden color with a thin white head. Aroma of heavy citrus bordering on grapefruit. Taste is heavy citrus with a bitter end which disappears very quickly. A bit one dimensional as far as an IPA, but an interesting experiment. TheBear11D (365) - Michigan, USA - MAY 26, 2013
The Artic pours a cloudy deep sunset orange with an off-white head that leaves thick lacing. The aroma is citrus hops galore. There is a malt background but it's not distinguishable. The flavor is also citrus hops. Overall this is delicious! I wish there were more!

12 oz. bottle. Hazed amber-brown pour with an off white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, juicy resin. Smells delicious. Flavor is delicious. Melon, tropical fruit, nice caramel malt. This is a delicious IPA. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel. Smooth finish. Excellent, great showcase of the citra hop.

Bottle part of an IPA-themed mix pack. Pours out a cloudly light golden amber. Bready-spice aromas. Flavor is slighty citrus, but mostly bitter spice and bread. Pretty boring. Homer321 (5072) - Melboring, Florida, USA - MAY 22, 2013
armoa of slight hops and lots of fruit. tropical. slightly malt forward and sweet without enough hop bitterness. hop flavor is well done, balanced with the malt. overall a very enjoyable beer. thanks mike blackflag321 (689) - Lansing, Michigan, USA - MAY 20, 2013
Bottle pour to shaker. Mild grapefruit, soft, slightly sweet palate. I enjoyed all three Crooked Tree single hop specials. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 20, 2013
Hazy dark orange-gold with good, creamy, white head / Bright but malty nose of citrus, pine, candied sugar / Medium body, malty, biting hops with some astringency, a touch watery but with otherwise good balance and bitter finish / Big flavors of grapefruit, pineapple, orange peel, cut pine, resin / Seems a bit out of balance, with modest alcohol but big fruit and hops?? Still a very pleasant, if very bitter, ipa. ICEatALAMO (1350) - Troy, Michigan, USA - MAY 18, 2013
Bottle. The reddest of the single showcase ipas. The taste is a little smoother than the others.
