Draft at winners circle. Pours hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma is blueberry pancakes. Taste is blueberry sweetness with a nice light bitterness. Beerman6686 (6607) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 7, 2011
This poured a lightly cloudy darker yellow color with a white head. Aroma was a good amount of blueberry and some biscuit and caramel notes. Flavor was nice fresh blueberries, not artificial at all. A bit heavy for a fruit beer, but still refreshing and nicely done. wmubronco1992 (709) - Coldwater, Michigan, USA - AUG 27, 2011
Draft at the Dark Horse tap room. Pours a clear amber. Very small head. No lacing. Aroma is of blueberries. Flavor is of honey sweetness and mild blueberries. Mild palate with a clean finish. Interesting experimental brew. Strange in the sense that it is called a pale ale and there is absolutely no bitterness. Overall this is easy drinking. It was a hit with my wife. A bit light and sweet for my liking, but I’m sure this would pick up a following for people looking for a light flavorful beer. Hair6a11 (1481) - Illinois, USA - AUG 26, 2011
Blueberry Honey Biscuit Monkey, eh? Pour is murky golden with an off white head that retains fairly well in this glass. Light, spotty lacing is present. The nose eventually reminds of Blueberry Honey Waffles. If there were such a thing - perhaps a bit of maple syrup as well. Anyway - the flavor profile is something like empty scones, blueberries, honey, and caramel. Very interesting brew. I suppose there are some spice notes as you progress as well. Anyway - nice!
