Bourbon and cherry richness with some apple skins and booze sugars. Purple color small head at bainbridge with Al and Bill. Underrated.

UPDATED: NOV 9, 2014 Tap: Dark brown with tones of ruby shining through; not much of a head, just a meager, beige-gray tinted film & collar along the top. Aroma peaks with booze, as you may expect a 6.5% ABV barrel aged brown ale to do. Alcoholic cherry juice, deep notes of apple cider... Possibly even more apple present than cherry. Bourbon, musty oak, astringent tartness. A very small hint of nuttiness is the only thing resembling a brown ale on the nose. Taste, again, has tons of bourbon & wood that sting your palate immediately. Big, milled & unpasteurized apple cider flavor with only hints of sweet cherries. Mildly tart, turning more tannic, boozy, & dry towards the back-end. Warming sweet finish of bourbon & a cherry-apple juice hybrid, with spicy wood & just a touch of nuts. I actually really liked the first few sips, but when warming up, the beer grows a little too boozy. Then before you know it, I’m looking at my glass like ’WTF am I drinking?" Very weird.
