Tap @ Jack Browns RVA. Very dark with thin oatmeal head. Smells chocolaty, and play-doughy, and boubony. Nice roasty, earthy but green flavor. Dry.

Draught @ One Mile House. Inly dark nrownwith medium sized creamy tan head, very faint caramel aroma, low carbonation, sweetish mocha taste laced with alcohol, full body, longish mocha finish. Well rounded imperial stout; easy to drink despite the 11 plus percent ABV. koleminer20 (4171) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - MAY 14, 2015
From notes. Finally found the long-lost notebook from the 4 Elf Party at Dark Horse on December 13! Enjoyed this one inside at the party. Hot damn! My favorite beer of the event! The pour was a viscous burnt motor oil black with a cap of medium brown head that just lingers. The aroma is tart and sour up front, and when you get through that, all of the beautifulness of Plead the 5th comes through. Heavy licorice, roasted malts, dark fruits, and a light booze. The flavor is just the same. Taking a great stout, and adding a little sour effect is wonderful. The sour did not dominate, but just added enough difference to make me love this beer. Mouth feel is thick and creamy. The carbonation is a little higher than I’d like, but the sharp tartness hangs around with the bitter cocoa and roasted malt on the back end. Well done! djd07 (16289) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAR 12, 2015

Big fan of this one. Not too boozy, slightly sweet. Not too sugary. Slightly roasted grain flavored with a sweet finish. Pours black with a tan head
