COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Its not as heavy bodied and malty as many IPAs, in contrast the palate is more crisp and dry. If you consider yourself a "hop-head" you owe it to yourself to grab this beer.

12 oz bottle into a nonic pint glass. A: Pours a murky copper color with TONS of yeast sediment in the glass. The head is a one finger offwhite shade. Theres a good creaminess to the texture, even if it fades moderately quickly. Still, its not exactly an attractive beer. S: This has a pervasive biscuit quality to the aroma; it melds reasonably well with the textbook grapefruit peel and pine qualities from the hops. The maltiness is sweet and caramel-esque, like I expect. Typical, but I really like how strongly the aroma emanates from the glass. T: The biscuit from the aroma subsides a bit, being supplanted by some initial grapefruit qualities. Still, this is one of the most biscuity IPAs Ive ever had. Pine bitterness pops up in the midtaste before seemingly washing away on the finish. No one note here really stands out from the pack - however, it compensates by coming across as a great thirst quencher with a modicum of complexity. M: While the body isnt lightweight, it manages to drink crisply anyways. Astringency is balanced well, with only a moderate bitterness accumulating on the palate. Carbonation is high yet controlled in order to preserve the refreshment qualities this provides. O: I reckon this one would really work during the summertime - in some ways, this drinks like a saison. There are better IPAs to be found, but there are also many worse ones as well.

12 oz bottle. Didnt see a date but the bar was dark. Hops are vegetal and pine. Hop oil extract. Seems a bit old, like I said didnt see a date so dont know for sure. Stronger and darker malt than Id typically expect from an IPA. Caramel and toffee.

Bottle from Total Wines, Sterling VA. Amber in colour, with a decent, white, head. Plenty of grassy hops, tangerine fruit, slightly bready malts, before a dry, hoppy finish. Good.

Hoppy, grapefruit, tangerine, pine syrup. Sticky palate with a drying finish. Slightly sweet, which is a setback on the palate, but otherwise a big, bold IPA.

Bue la pression. Belle couleur orange/ambre, mousse qui a des ballz of steel, nez assez discret. Idem en bouche, cest assez lger de partout. Pas trop amre, un peu caramlise, un peu de rsineux, carbo juste comme il faut. Bref, cest pas de la folie furieuse mais a passe dlicieusement bien.

Pours a nice hazy amber with a big, frothy white head. Aroma of pine, lemon zest, cereal, grapefruit, more resiny pine, light brown sugar. Taste starts out moderately sweet, turning into a medium, dry hop bitterness. The dry, bitter finish brings back grapefruit and pine. Medium, slender body with an oily feel. Medium carbonation.
Had this a few times after I encountered it by accident at Brot & Spiele Graz (its not always available). All four bottles I have had across Europe varied for a bit. When its fresh, the hops really shine. While the malt backbone is pretty lean, it still backs up the hops with a toasty malt aroma and feeling in terms of body. When its not that fresh anymore, the hops fade into the malt body - its less crisp than expected, but still super dry. Really good IPA, can be a bit harsh. But I always enjoyed it quite a bit. Maybe because its so hard to get around here.

Bottle shared. Nice juicy fruitiness, decent malt backbone, fairly classic stuff yet solid ipa. A bit too simple maybe in this new era of galactic whales and unicorns.
