murky orange amber with a medium but fleeting beige head. aroma is light floral citrus. thick oily mouth feel. fairly bitter throughout. long bitter but warming finish. doesnt really have that initial brightness that I like in an IPA. I guess this isnt the hop variety for me. not a bad beer though.

Bottle. Hazy dark caramel color, frothy tan head. Slightly hoppy nose, mild. Taste is quite smooth, not that bitter, with a clear hoppy note. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Malty IPA with almost a medicinal/ herbal hop with a piney finish. A bit sweet from the malt but overall balanced. Ends up with a dry finish. Not a huge fan of the medicinal hop profile but a well made IPA overall. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours copper with cream head. Aromas of pineapple, citrus, pine, malty backbone, caramel and toffee. Taste is malt, citrus, bitter bite upfront, fades to a much more mellow spruce with some caramel. Decent. Not as good as

Another single hop Crooked Tree experiment by Dark Horse. Pours dark orange, with average creamy diminishing off-white head. Fair lacing. Totally chunky, medium to full body, with bitter aftertaste. Average malts, cookie and caramel. Heavy hops, mostly pine and citrus. Moderately bitter. Cant say I liked it as much as I expected.

12oz bottle from TRT. Poured a murky deep orange with tons of floaties and an average sized frotht off white head. Aroma/flavor of herbs, medicine, band aids, earth, rotting fruit. Flavor has the added joy of a slight medicinal note. This is just not good.

Bottle from CBC Newton, drunk 8/30/15.
Chunky, drab olive-copper with a beige head that is medium-sized and quickly dissipating.
Fruity (apples, cherries, oranges) hop notes in the nose give way to lightly dirty (yeast?) notes, with light caramel and brown bread maltiness. Theres some light pine, typical orange rind/grapefruit character and not much, if any brightness.
I dont know if this bottle is just old? I would expect Craft Beer Cellar to keep fresh bottles on hand, but I guess you never know....Lemon-lime citrus with a hard, crystal malt-like texture, scratchy brown bread graininess and loose/low carbonation. Tons of dirtiness/dullness and not a whole lot to get excited about here. Maybe some diacetyl as well? Again, its hard to feel too bad for breweries that dont date their hoppy beers.
