bottle - Orange pour. The aroma is of piney hops and caramel malt. The flavor is moderately bitter with pine, caramel, and a little citrus. It's balanced and tasty though nothing special to me.

Pours nice creamy amber, relatively clear. Bit of foam. Sweet malty nose, wet hops aroma coming through. Taste is nicely balanced, very fresh, body is quite medium, soft tropical fruits. Wet hop thing definitely there, hops are more grassy and with more tannins than usual. Really well done, probably one of the best harvest beers I have had.

Amber color. Very earthy, with oranges and melons. Pretty dry bitter but not that interesting.

Taps slightly hazy topaz with a thick cream head that leaves good lacing. Aroma is not strong, but promises resiny hops and tangy citrus. Flavor features good resiny hop, orange and fresh malt character. Mouthfeel offers fair body and peppy fizz. Toast the harvest.

bottle. deep amber with one finger head. malty caramel body with substantial hops, dank earthy and citrusy. solid bitterness. hops don't seem as fresh as i had hoped, and while this is a perfectly fine IPA, it doesn't do a lot for me.

UPDATED: OCT 21, 2017 Pours a hazy copper with a white foam head. Aroma is juicy citrus, floral, herbal, and earthy hops. Flavor is herbal and earthy hops, lightly but unpleasantly bitter. Well-carbonated and crisp. I’m not too fond of this one.

Rated on 10-18-2017. (Bottle) The appearance is a medium sized off-white head that is mostly lasting, transparent golden body, fast rising carbonation, and one ring of lacing. The aroma is citrus, fruity, grapefruit, tangerine, orange, pine, floral, grassy, caramel, and malt. The flavor presents moderate bitterness, citrus, fruity, grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, pine, light spice, caramel, malt, and sweet. The mouthfeel is moderate carbonation and this beer is medium bodied. Wow! This is a very, very good tasting IPA! It is well balanced, light bitter finish and aftertaste. It is very easy drinking and very refreshing. The flavors come together very well. This is a beer worth trying and a beer that I will purchase again. It is another excellent Dark Horse brewed beer! Cheers!

12 ounce bottle. Dark dark orange pour. Caramel and malt first up. Then a bit of citrus. Nice.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 9/13/2017. Pours crystal clear deep golden amber/light orange color with a 2 finger fairly dense and rocky off white head with awesome retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/pine hops and moderate bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, peach, pineapple, apricot, mango, melon, lemon/orange peel, light pepper, pine, light caramel, toasted bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; with an awesome malt/bitterness balance, and zero astringent hop flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy/sticky, and slightly resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6%. Overall this is an awesome fresh hop IPA! All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/pine hops and moderate bready malt flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Really great mix of juicy, vibrant, and dank hop complexity; nice balancing malt backbone, with no residual sweetness. A really enjoyable offering.
