Sampled from the tap at the 15th annual MBGSF. Pours a hazy deep amber with a yellowish brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has some ginger up front with grassy hops and an underlying sweet grain and a caramel. Flavor has sweet grains throughout with some ginger as well as grass and caramel coming out in the finish. MBGSF 2011. Poured clear brown with an average frothy off-white head that was mostly lasting with good lacing. Solid spicy ginger, citrus hop and malt aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium ginger bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Interesting drinkable beer.

pours a deep red color with a nice light tan head, looks great... The nose is all ginger, too much for me as I tolerate ginger but wouldn’t want this much in anything... The taste mutes the ginger and is very hoppy, seems dry hopped. The taste is much better than the nose, but a half glass is about all I want. badnewsbeers (2312) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - DEC 25, 2010
