Dark Horse High Gravity Lager Ice has a medium, white head, a mostly clear (but, with noticeable fine sediment throughout, upon closer inspection), bubbly, golden appearance, and even some lacing left behind. The aroma is of store-brand, cheap grape soda and wet grain. Taste is of that, too, with an unpleasant, underlying tap water note. Hop bitterness is almost nonexistent. Mouthfeel is medium, with a chalky under-taste, and Dark Horse High Gravity Lager Ice finishes wet, sloppy, and gross. RJT

Big Fucken Can @ RBSG 2014 Grand Tasting. Thanks, Josh. Clear straw colored pour with a white head. Smells of corn, apple, and water. Lots of grain and cereal. Kind of sugary. Flavor is definitely sweet and has a lot of corn syrup going on. Heavy cereal character and a fair amount of water. Decent apple juice, too. Could probably have chugged a few of these back in college.

The can this comes in amazes and horrifies in equal measure. It ultimately doesn’t taste like much, just you’re typical oxidized malty old malt liquor. It is a bit too far on the sweet side but that is just the style. I wouldn’t mind getting wasted on this stuff.

Giant can. Golden pour. Strong smell, really boozy, harsh. Its fun to be masochist.

Can @ RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours a Gazza gold ale appearance. Goopy corn, cotton candy aroma. Herbal, grainy, spritzy, corn flavor. Not all that fucken bad.

Shared at RBSG 2014. Thanks to Magnus. Nose is offensively apple and sugar. Taste us moderately sweet but neutral in flavor. Decent.

Can bought and drank for a BlackIPA contest. Not a whole lot in the way of aroma and flavor, some corn and grass. Pretty sweet. Fairly terrible, but not offensive. I might opt for it over a BMC.

This can should come with a T-shirt that says "I drank Dark Horse Ice, and didn’t die...yet." It pours a pale yellowish color with a lot of carbonation with a yeast like scent similar to cheap champagne. Upon drinking it has a weak lemon taste. Overall it has a very weak taste and not much better texture. This is beverage simply made for alcoholics needing a cheap fix or something that should be used in a dare. Makes Miller Lite taste like Dom Perignon.

24oz can, poured into a fancy snifter. Pours a clear gold with no head. Aroma of fruity green apple, brown sugar and a bunch of caramel. Taste is about the same. Seriously, this is kinda good. Medium bodied with a slick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. I could enjoy this on the reg. SO I need to know, what the hell is the alcohol content of this thing?
