On tap at The Shark Club. Thanks for pointing this one out...I completely overlooked it! Poured a hazy golden color with a small sized head. Fruity, cherries present but not overpowering, spices, and a trace of yeastiness. alcohol content very well hidden and way too easy to drink. Was told this was a one off by Dark Horse, if it is not, I would seek it out again! BVery (11461) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - OCT 6, 2012
Tap at Pizza Luce. Clear gold pour with a small white head. Fruit aroma and taste (cherry, apricot, and grape). Good carbonation. Nice brew. alexsdad06 (11242) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - DEC 24, 2015
Draft to taster at Ei8ht Ball. Pours a hazy orange golden with a splash of pink and a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet malts, caramel, honey, sweeter cherry character, some skins to the finish, additional fruit character, spicy Belgian yeast, interesting enough.

Draft. Pours orange with a white head. Nice fruity cherry sweet base, with light spicy yeast, apricot, and pale malts. Pretty good. JaBier (8396) - Capital City, Ohio, USA - MAR 6, 2016
Sample at The Brew Kettle on 2/28/16. Hazy orange pour with a thick off-white head. Aroma of malt, banana esters and cherry. Malty flavor with cherry tartness before a sweet banana finish. cheap (6217) - CHINA - OCT 21, 2017
On tap at puff & stuff in robinson, thanks aris. A little bit orange & clear in presentation. Has a slight tart aroma. Taste does have some cherry but mostly its kind of medicinal and boozy. Comes across to me like some kind of typical high alky fruit beer. Probably should be in the fruit beer category. A little uncivilized for a tripel, especially if you compare it to the stuff that comes from the old country. chinchill (5397) - South Carolina, USA - JUN 16, 2013
Served at Appalachian Vinters in Asheville, NC. (from Sept. 2012 notes)
Lightly hazy amber with a medium size, off-white head. Head has moderate retention but leaves some lacing on the glass.
The aroma is nicely fruity with a definite cherry component but other vague fruity notes as well. Likewise, the cherry has a clear presence in the flavor but there are also notes of apricot, banana, and some vague, probably yeasty, fruitiness. Clove in the finish. Bready malt base lies in the background. Lighly sweet upfront, lightly bitter at the finish, with a substantial tartness throughout. Aftertaste is this beer’s weak spot.
M: Medium body and carbonation; lightly dry on the finish.
O: interesting and complex variant of a tripel. The substantial fruitiness makes this seem more like a fruit beer than a tripel. koleminer20 (4176) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - NOV 5, 2015
On draft at the special taproom at Dark Horse on November 1. The pour is a nice coppery amber with a thin film of off white head and some soapy lace. The aroma is strong Belgian tendencies just like the Sapient. There is a light cherry, but dominating yeast and malts. The flavor is more palatable than the Sapient. The cherry makes it doable. It’s not bad. There is a strong malt and yeast that is well balanced by the cherry. The mouth feel is thin and lighter with a nice carbonation and a lingeringly malty, lightly cherry induced flavor. Better than regular Sapient for sure!
