On tap. Poured a dark brown with a medium brown head that lasted. Aroma had notes of roasted coffee with an undertone of smoke. Flavor was similar to that of the aroma but the smoke was even less present. Very smooth. wmubronco1992 (709) - Coldwater, Michigan, USA - AUG 28, 2009

Draft sample at MBGF Summer09 under the name JimandChuck.
Poured clear dark brown color with medium frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium roasted coffee, chocolate and smoke aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium chocolate sweet flavor with a medium roasted sweet finish of moderate duration.
Sold drinkable brew. JMFG (1587) - Florida, USA - AUG 14, 2009
On tap @ brewery. Black pour, thin tan head. Mild aroma of roast and chocolate malt, slight hint of lactose. Taste has a full smooth chocolate start and moves on to a cocoa finish. Another nice Dark Horse stout. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - AUG 10, 2009
MiBG Summer fest 2009, Saturday session, listed has "Jim and Chuck’s Porter", a slight change to the recipe but not enough for a new entry IMO. Deep mahogany hue with very good head and lace. The aroma has notes of chocolate covered nuts, coffee, plum and fig, slight smoke and herbs. The taste has a nice dark fruit overtone with supporting chocolate and smoky notes. Nutty throughout and a hint of coffee and hop bitterness. The mouth feel is smooth and oily, lush and quite nice. Overall more than a solid porter that is almost Baltic like.

Dark pour, dark tan head. Nutty aroma with malts. Flavor is nice and strong with a good amount of malt. Nice porter. Schroppfy (2360) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - JUL 7, 2009
Tap on Friday, July 3rd. Full-bodied, almost thick. Turgid in the glass. Smoky, brown malt nose, very robust, woody. Somewhat bready flavor, deeply malty but not sweet. Just a solid porter.
