Color caoba, ambar oscuro con espuma color crema. Aromas de caramelo, frutas tropicales y uva. En boca tiene un cuerpo medio con un inicio meloso que pasa pronto a un amargor citrico y seco. Muy rica. ROGUE (2215) - Lewes, Delaware, USA - SEP 17, 2013
On tap at tatsting. Pours a hazy dark orange color with a thin off white head that fades quickly. Aroma of sweet caramel and toasted malt, with a little bit of earthy hops. The taste is fairly sweet with toasted caramel, some honey and dark bread come through in middle with a little bit of hay. Strong bitterness lingers through a dry finish. Lighter bodied with spritzy carbonation.

Bottle. Slightly hazy amber with a white head. Aroma of bread, nuts, cherries (!?). Taste is sweet with prune juice, caramel and cherries. Dries out a little at the end. Some vague citrus. Low bitterness. Manages to be thin and cloying. A pretty ordinary fruity amber. A torpid troll of a beer. 12oz botte. Poured a golden color with a small sized head. Bread, some caramel, and some lighter fruitiness.

Bottle purchased at Ale Wine & Spirits. Clear amber to copper in color with a medium beige head. Aroma of grainy malt, honey and light noble hops. Malty and surprisingly caramelly flavor with a crisp finish. crossovert (12613) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 28, 2013

Hazy, orange-tinted brown with a short tan head.
Aroma of fruit, baked bread.
Sweet caramel, bread, spices.
Very tasty, but not what I’d call a kolsch. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - JUN 19, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 11, 2015 Bottle: The most un-Kolsch-like Kolsch in existence. Thick, murky copper color with a beige-tan head. What? Mild fruity sourness in the aroma, cherries, lemons, grapes. Grainy, and filled with some sweet malts somewhere between toasted bread and light caramel. Initial tartness twinge on the palate - lots of apples, cherries, and big-time plum. Staunch bitterness is offset by an earthy, malty sweetness; biscuits, toasted bread, caramel. Surprisingly "boozy" feeling for only 5.5% ABV with a pretty heavy and sticky mouth feel. This beer wasn’t god awful, but it wasn’t good, either. Not to mention, it resembles a Kolsch in almost no way... Poor attempt by Dark Horse.
