Pours a cloudy amber, much darker than expected. The aroma is earthy with grain, birch and just a hint of smoke. The flavor has nice earthy taste, some caramel too. Much more body than your average Kolsch, this is dry and refreshing. faroeviking (11026) - Chupando chellas es como ellas, FAROE ISLANDS - SEP 28, 2012
Botella. Unclear to hazy orange brown colour with an off-white head. Sweet toasty caramel malty grainy yeasty aroma. Ok mouthfeel. sweet toasty caramel yeasty malty grainy flavour with a fair medium bitterness, dry like. Grainy Kölsch. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - SEP 27, 2012
Bottle at home - shared with Mette. Clear dark amber - white head. Chocolate, nutty, dusty cocoa powder, hay, straw, light red berries, light to medium hoppy, ok - but not a classic Kölsch. RKOhio (9) - Ohio, USA - SEP 27, 2012 does not count
Overall this is a strange beer. Pours a rusty brown color with an off-white head. Aroma of musty lager yeast, raspberry, and crackers. Taste is quite sweet with plenty of iced tea character, prune, and a crackery finish. A little bit of a mineral quality slides in and provides some dryness. Pour carefully, as I found a lot of sediment in several (but not all) bottles. thornecb (5995) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 25, 2012
Pours deep hazy amber into a Sam glass. Pancake head with excellent retention recedes to coat surface. Sweet candy corn aromas. Sweet candy corn upfront turning to earthy, bitter pith in the lasting finish.

12oz bottle in a stem glass. Pours copper with a lacy, off-white head. Aroma of toasted and caramel malts, plus a good amount of bitter hops. Flavor the same, with some dough. Average texture. A decent beer. shrubber85 (11508) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - SEP 16, 2012
Bottle. Woody malt and alcohol aroma. Cloudy orange-brown with moderate head. Lightly sweet woody malt and alcohol flavor. Not your typical Koelsch. jcnielsen (3413) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - SEP 14, 2012
Bottle. Sampled with adnielsen at Brad’s house in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a hazy amber color with white head. Darker malty flavors that you don’t expect from a kolsch. cubs (10677) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - SEP 14, 2012
Bottle @ Brad’s house Minneapolis. Pours a hazy, dark orange appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy, grainy, oaty, chex mix, a touch fruity aroma. Tangy, grainy malty, cereal, quite spicy, light blood orange appearance. This wasn’t all that bad but everything about it didn’t seem like a Kolsch. johnnyoski (445) - Macomb, Michigan, USA - SEP 10, 2012
Bottle. Pours a murky orange-brown color with a very thin off white head. Aroma: Cider, caramel, and toast. Taste: Heavy malt flavors, with tones of caramel, raisin. Bitter, earthy finish. Slick texture with lively carbonation. Different, but not sure this combination works.
