Draft at HopCat, Grand Rapids. Hazy red-orange-brown body, thin loose cream head. Nice sour, funky nose with raspberry vinaigrette, sugars and cobwebs. The beer pours a dark clear red, almost like a pinot noir with a light pink head that doesn’t have much carbonation.
The aroma is light, a little sweet raspberries and a bit of funk at the end. Its balanced between the two which is nice, but not strong enough to really wet my palate.
The taste reminds me of cranberry juice, a little sweet to start then just a bitter tartness to it. I love sour and tart but this isn’t in the form of a wild ale tart, but fruit tart which isn’t a nice distinction. I can taste no alcohol which is probably good since its a 10% beer, but a little would be nice to break the bitter.

A Sim rate (Extreme Beer Fest Night of the Barrels): Smells like raspberries and a bit of blueberry. Sweet like Rose’s grenadine. Needs a bit more sour finesse. They ran out of Donut beer before I could get some but replaced it with this.
Reddish pour with a light head.
Aroma is raspberries and low levels of tartness, a little one dimensional.
Flavor is nice raspberry fruit and some raspberry seed, Relatively tart but not enough imo. Relatively nice but doesnt really have enough tartness or funkiness to be a lambic, more of a fruit beer feel.

Draft at EBF. Pours a dark cherry body with an off white head. Sweet grenadine aroma, very sweet and slick like a Shirley temple, hardly a sour or a lambic more like an uber sweet fruit beer. Dangerously diabetic, but i was okay with this a warming whiskey tone, raspberry iced fruit with a very low tartness from the raspberries. EBF 2010 Session One: Ruby pour with good clarity and a wispy off white head. Raspberry aroma- a bit candied- mildly tart- no funk/bugs come through. Slick- a bit sweet and candyish. Pouring at EBF’s Night of the Barrels. Pours a ruby red with no head. Smells spot on for cough syrup. Thought I had Robitussin in my cup instead. Nutty, sweet, rather gross. Finishes up with a faint light sourness. Ick.
