UPDATED: DEC 10, 2013 So here’s the deal. This beer isn’t good, but it’s not quite as bad as the ratings suggest. 10 of the 25 ratings came from a single bottle that had been opened anywhere from a month to several months earlier and sat at room temperature for that time. I tasted the beer from that bottle on a few occasions (made for a fun experiment), and even though the beer wasn’t very good to begin with, it got significantly worse as time went on. Bottle shared at Dan’s Birthday Tasting (Lyons, IL). Pours a nice darker amber gold hue, well hazed and dulled, a good haziness. Frothy offwhite head atop dies to a nice film, laces ok. Aromas show sour oranges, lemon, and acedic acid. A touch of acetone, nail polish, and bread. Initial is oranges, richly acedic and sour. Acetone, acid, and sour lactic twang. Wow, a bit harsh. Middle has a touch of a redeeming fruity citrus character, but really moves quite quickly back to acetone, acidity, and citrus. Wow. Backend is a bit harsh, acedic. Oranges, lemon, and touches of harsh lactic and acedic acid feel. Finish is a bit harsh, acedic, dry. Meh. Not good. But I was surprised that this wasn’t as bad as people seem to indicate. Bottle shared thanks to beerman6686. This definitely isn’t as bad as everyone says it is. Sure the aroma is a tad pungent. Maybe slight poopy diaper and band aid but it’s not too crazy. The taste is much better than the aroma, however, the taste is quite tart. It definitely felt like my stomach lining was being eaten away. This poured a hazy orange color with a white head Aroma was of acetone, lactic acide and light pale malt. Falvor was similar, a bit hrash on the mouth, definite acetone, but not to the point of undrinkable. Is this beer bad? yes, is it the worst i’ve ever had, definitely not. From the March 2014 Pittsburgh Ratebeer gathering. +++ Sampled from a 750 ml brown bottle this beer poured a murky peach-orange color with a medium sized foamy orange-tan head that faded and left decent lacing. The aroma was very tart orange, bread, pepper and had notes that were astringent and reminiscent of band aides. The flavor was tart, chalky and astringent with notes of Sweettart candies and band aides. Long tart, chalky, sour and astringent finish. Medium body. Gets worse with every sip. Absolutely awful.

Pours an orange brown with no head. Aroma of acetone, and window cleaner. Taste follows, like chemicals. This is the worst sour I've ever had.

Bottle at jtclockwork’s place for a tasting. Pours a hazed orange amber. Smells like straight up nail polish remover. Gag inducing. Even more acetone in the flavor but it’s not as bad as it smells. Tap at the Cotteridge Convention III 2017, poured a hazy medium brown with little life. The aroma is pure malt vinegar. The flavour is strong sour with a pure acidic vinegar palate. Truly awful. ICEatALAMO (1350) - Troy, Michigan, USA - DEC 27, 2012
UPDATED: AUG 2, 2013 Bottle from 4elf. The pour leads me think there is no carbonation, pours an orange muddy water color. The aromoa is pure sour, vinegar. THe taste also has no carbonation and also tastes like vinegar. Although I like vinegar, not in my beer. Basically a drain pour.
