Its big and full bodied with lots of roasted malts and balanced with heavy hops to put this imperial in a league of its own.

11% abv. Huge roasted, coffee, chocolate, ash aroma, with a touch of alcohol, plums, Port wine. Its harsh and aggressive but deep and smooth in the same time. Awesome. Taste seems to be a bit more calm, super well balanced. Tons of coffee and chocolate with super pleasant note of sherry, cherry in alcohol. Very nice roasted, chocolate finish with very moderated bitterness. Smooth, velvety in the mouth. Full bodied but might be even more thick and dense. Great beer!

12 fluid oz bottle. Pours black with a small demerara head. On the nose LOTS of molasses, dark coffee, cocoa, dates, and a faint Tootsie Roll like note. Taste-wise, dried fruit, molasses, a light brown sugar note, with some booziness that heads into BIG dark malt notes, espresso, very light smoke, more molasses, and some very good balancing bitterness in the huge finish. This is WAY too easy drinking for the ABV, and solid in every way. I would buy this again in a second.

Good all around. No gimmicks. A bit hoppy for me sort of tastes dirty but i can live with it. Good all around.

Totalmente negra, espuma marrom de tima formao e boa persistncia. Aroma bastante maltado, defumado, chocolate e caf em igual quantidade, licor de chocolate, lpulo mentolado, complexa. Paladar de intenso dulor e mdio/forte amargor torrado. Corpo denso e licoroso, mdia carbonatao. Final de longa persistncia mantendo as impresses do aroma misturando muitssimo bem o defumado, maltado, achocolatado licoroso. Muito bem feita.

Pours black with a few temporary dark tan smears. Aromas of dark malt and anise. Medium plus body with mild carbonation. Flavor is gummy dark roast malt with some anise. Heat is not much considering the 12%. Very smooth.

Really full in body, lots of roasted malts (as it is written) quite bitter but also sweet. Too much alcohol in my bottle.

Dense tan head on a black body. The nose is relatively understated with chocolate, cream, caramel and hint of earthy hops. A wonderful IS featuring impeccable balances. Semi-sweet chocolate, heavily roasted malt, toffee, butter, dark berries and coffee are the lead group of tastes. As the beer approaches room temperature, apricots, nuts and banana make an appearance. This beer has a dense body with a frothy mouth feel. The sweetness dissipates with a touch of chalkiness to the finish.

12 oz bottle from Tavour. Tastes of dark malts , a bit of cinnamon and light roasted coffee and cocoa. Once consumed there is a bit of heat and and spice. Alcohol is present. Not bad.

12oz bottle. Fudge. Lots of fudge. Almost nothing else. No hint of alcohol, which is too bad because it might cut through the fudge.
