Aroma is reminiscent of Surly Darkness, a lot of sweet malt over something of a surprisngly robust hop presence. Caramel, raisin, vanilla, and the aformentioned hop sweetness are key. Apperance is great, black, minimal head, would rank a bit higher with a bit more frothy goodness. Taste is heavy cloying sweetness, lightly bitter, and if it is possible to taste thick, this is it. Palate is appropriately thick and near flat, just where I want an impy stout. Full body, thick feel, soft carbonation, long finish. Yes this is my first review using the assistance, so bear with me. Overall a good beer, though a bit on the sweet end of my taste for imperial stouts.

This poured pitch black with a tan head perfect! The aroma contains some black coffee, licorice, and charcoal. The flavor is bitter but not too much so. It contains some espresso shots, licorice, dark chocolate. This is on the bitter end of the impy stout spectrum but its really amazing. Overall swipe right on this gem!

Kolor czarny, beżowa szybko opadająca piana. W aromacie praliny, wanilia, mleczna czekolada. W smaku gorzka kawa, mleczna czekolada, w tle przewija się rodzyna i sos sojowy. Alkohol ukryty. Bardzo fajny RIS.

Mooi zwart bier met een kleine bruisende bruine schuim kraag. Ruikt geroosterd, koffie, chocolade, rozijnen, hop. Smaakt geroosterd, koffie, chocolade, zoet en bittere nasmaak. Lekker.

No BOD. Pours black. Very little head - less than a finger with a 90 degree pour. Consequently, retention and lacing are also very poor. Light, but otherwise typical, stout nose. A bit of roast, vey faint char and a touch of malt. Medium body with a slightly slick texture. Quite outstanding carbonation / body balance. The middle is quite effervescent and the finish is a finely bubbled rollicking explosive ride. The flavor profile is borderline very good. Complexity is a bit missing in this stout. Flavors are presented well and also are well balanced. Roast with a touch of char float above a very well balanced slightly sweet molasses / caramel base. From the middle on, sweetness peaks and is overcome with a bit of alcohol taste and astringency. The finish is a fade of molasses and alcohol. Dark fruits are missing, except for a brief touch of prune about three quarters through as the alcohol becomes uncovered.

Plead the fifth Thats an easy review but Ill pad it a bit: Aroma is a bit Boosie Poor parents is a perfect dark pitch black. There is a hoppy-ness, as a description implies yet a lot of malt character to balance this. Strong but stands apart frim competitors in hop character - ! I like it. Cheers

0.355l bottle. Pitch black body with a quickly disappearing brown head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, caramel and floral hops. Taste of coffee, chocolate, caramel and some floral and spicy hops. Thick bodied with not much carbonation. Pretty much like a bottle of thick coffee. Great RIS.
