COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rod is a refreshing, medium bodied red ale brewed with aphrodisiac herbs for woman and men alike. Brewer Russ Beattie was working on his own version of Sex Panther, using passion flower, epimedium, damiana, and ginko to elevate the levels of spring time friskiness and brewmaster Aaron Morse decided that the best way to spread the love was via Rod.

Quite malty, nicely balanced sweetish, creamy. Quite intense caramel, decent hops, fruity. Quite complex, but in same time very easy-drinking and pleasantly enjoyable

b3shine (9073) - Indiana, USA - JUN 16, 2013
Draft to taster at Dark Horse. Looks solid; a hazy amber with thin off-white head that dissipates into lacing fairly quickly. Smells of herbs and flowers. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel. Not bad, but a little herbal for my preference.

Bov (13221) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - MAY 23, 2013
[email protected] - quite clear reddish-brown beer with a persistent beige foam; gently chewy malty aroma with notes of caramel and red fruits, toasted; rounded palate and full-bodied; lively and gently spicy; a moderate bitterness, a creamy palate and a long malty, hoppy, spicy and fruity finish - very good beer, multi-dimensional and pretty impressive

polomagnifico (1202) - Saginaw, Michigan, USA - APR 4, 2013
On Tap. Aroma has notes of sweet dried fruits, spices, nice citrus hops, caramel malts and Barely Wine flavors in the background. Nice. Dark amber hue with a small off-white head that fully diminished and left no lace. Flavor is very sweet and medium bitter. Palate is full bodied and oily soft. Overall I was very surprised by this one. Very decent brew.
