Not the most prominent aroma but a really well balanced beer. Coffee notes are tasty additions not harsh distractions. Very nice beer.
UPDATED: OCT 31, 2017 Pours a deep chestnut with light head. Aroma is cereal and spice. Taste is at once a cinnamon flavor, opening up to a sweet maltiness with a slight burn on the finish. A very smooth beer that is perfect after a good meal. mjmoen (592) - - SEP 25, 2017
C+. Pours a black color with khaki head. Kinda bitter after taste, cookie aroma higgsbison (266) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - SEP 21, 2017
March 2014. Plenty of what makes A scotch ale a scotch ale. Full-bodied, robust, smoky and acidic. Notes of chocolate and toffee. Lots of malts and it hides the high alcohol well. And in-your-face take it or leave it brew. A slightly bitter acidic and long-lasting aftertaste. A fine brew. I enjoyed it and would drink it on tap or at a friends house, but considering it has the same number of calories as a Belgian quad I would have to pass in in favor of the quad

UPDATED: MAY 8, 2017 Pleasantly rich aroma, with a nice deep red color. Oaky taste with a nice coating mouthfeel. Finish is a bit dry and lacks the complexity of the rest of the beer, but still nice. Would drink on occasions, is cool. kathouse (1940) - LAS VEGAS, Nevada, USA - APR 24, 2017

Clear dark amber to purple brown beer, creamy yellowish beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: sweet, lots of dried fruits, caramel, butter scotch, soft roast, bit of banana. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: soft roast, sweet, caramel, lots of dried fruits, bit sugary. Aftertaste: slightly bitter, hoppy touch, some caramel, banana, bit malty, sweet, some alcoohol but mainly it’s pretty well hidden for a 10% ABV.
