Bottle split with Alen before the Teresas Super bowl Sat event. Pours a red brown color. Nice notes of roast, toffee, brandy, sherry, and smoked wood. Not boozey at all for the alc percentage. Finishes sour. b3shine (8864) - Indiana, USA - FEB 2, 2013
375 ml maroon-waxed bottle to snifter (shared with the Mrs.; thanks mikem409). Looks sub-par; a fairly opaque cola with very thin beige lacing (when swirled; not naturally) and no visible carbonation. Smells sweet like a barleywine with sour and acetone notes. Tastes like it smells, but worse, and in two separate steps. Flat barleywine first, then off-putting acetone and nasty sourness. Worsens as it warms too. Awful on the palate. Drain pour. Dark mahogany, no head / Lightly sour nose of chocolate and dark fruit / Medium to full body, low carbonation, some but not dramatic tartness and sweet, good balance with a hint of bitterness on the finish / Complex flavors of chocolate, oak, plum, fig, soy sauce, sherry, and tobacco / A certain clumsiness to it, but I enjoyed it until the last drop.dough. If they ever perfect the body, and unfortunately I have never tried regular Off The Scale, this would be stellar.

(375ml bottle #316/1440 batch #1826) clearish deep ruby-brown, not many bubbles. Nose of moss, caramel, big alcohol, acetone, sour fruit, thinner, rich. Completely flat. Probably a batch gone wrong at the brewery. It is acetoney. Soy sauce mixes with nail polish. Not very sour or good. Luckily i didn’t buy the bottle, I would be pissed if I did.
