[Bottle] Wow, this one sure changed as it warmed. Started out really bland and forgettable, but after sitting for awhile it became quite enjoyable. Anise up front which then melds into roasted malt and some chocolate for a lasting finish. Nothing crazy or incredibly unique; just a very solid porter. Aroma is pretty restrained, even after warming--dusty, slight alcohol, anise, and mild smoke. Fairly thin, long finish. Overall, a really nice porter that I’m glad I gave a chance to warm up. ziel (76) - Massachusetts, USA - MAR 15, 2014
Nice dark color and appealing aroma. Flavor is light and not that heavy. I would say it is okay. phaleslu (10553) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - MAR 10, 2014
Draft shared by Ms. phaleslu at Holy Grale. Pours a deep brown color with a small beige head that leaves spots in the glass. Aroma of toasted malts, light roast, nuts, chocolate, and earth. Flavor of dark chocolate, molasses, anise, earth, nuts, tobacco, and faint dark fruits. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a sweet, earthy, rich, semi-spicy mouthfeel. Good porter with more complexity than the nose lets on. fonefan (50694) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAR 10, 2014
