UPDATED: MAY 19, 2008 Bottle from discount liquor. Dark brown with that same red brown head. Slight coffee with chocolate, dried out aroma. Nice sweet chocolate with a little condensed milk flavor. Medium, creamy body. Very nice. OldMrCrow (2437) - Seattle, Washington, USA - MAY 12, 2008
Bottle courtesy of tetrik -- thanks! This is my first of the series, and if the others are this good I’m in for a real treat as I work my way through them.

Pours a ridiculous inky black with a gorgeous deep brown head. Lovely roasty nose, splendid gently sweet (Thai iced coffee) flavor, chocolate , plenty of roast in the finish, just a tiny bit smoky, and enough hops to make their mark melting with the coffee close. Ah, this is a fine, fine stout. Bravo!
Pours an incredibly dark brown to black with healthy enough, dense enough, small bubbled tan head. The nose is full of chocolate and roast over a creamy smoothness. Big burly malt. Bittersweet chocolate. Full creamy softly carbonated body, thick with stuff! Lovely. The flavors are in line with the nose. Thick sweet palpable chocolatey malt. Some floral hops, mostly sweet creamy acidic chocolate with some fruit coffee roast sort of flavors towards the end. Long lingering roast and acidity. This is a really delightful beer, I’ve forgotten how well crafted it is. crowderm (382) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 29, 2008
Pours a nice deep black with a thin dark tan head. The aroma is mostly of dark, roasted malts with some hints of cream/oatmeal. The flavor hits first with a big, dark roasty character, which then fades away into a simple but very pleasant coffee/dark chocolate finish. Very nice creamy mouthfeel. Very nice stout overall. ucusty (2691) - raleigh, North Carolina, USA - APR 22, 2008
Black viscous pour with brown head and spotty lacing. Malty aroma. Big roasted malt flavor quickly yielding to a nice chocolate & coffee flavor. Well Balanced and easy to drink

12 oz. bottle from Dark Horse. Pours darkest black; no light is getting through this baby. Carmel head dissipates quickly, releasing a rich malty bouquet of chocolate and espresso. Smooth and creamy, leaving milk sugar on the tongue. Mmmmmm. mgumby10 (1856) - Jupiter, Florida, USA - APR 18, 2008
Courtesy Stine. Pours midnight black, like oil, with a tiny little bubbly brown head, Smells of rich, roasty dark malts, some smooth chocolate, with maybe a touch of some dark fruit as well. The flavor is mildly carbonated, with a good dose of that chocolate and toasted malts. Fairly sweet, but not as sweet as I was expecting. Nice, thick mouthfeel, with a lightly bitter finish. Pretty nice, but I like the One better. Cletus (6355) - Connecticut, USA - APR 18, 2008
Bottle courtesy of bdigi66. Pours dark brown with no discernible head. Smells of caramel and molasses. Tastes tarte, creamy, and sweet with a slightly bitter finish. This one has lots of malt depth to it. Very nice! Hudspart (538) - Byron Center, Michigan, USA - APR 18, 2008
Bottle: Pours very dark with small brown head. Aroma of malts, coffee and a sweet smell that I could not identify. Very drinkable. Naven (1000) - Poway, California, USA - APR 18, 2008
12 oz bottle. Dark, thin liquid. No real aroma. No head, very little carbonation. Flavor is roasted malts and coffee. Yada yada yada, you know the drill.....all of these sweet stouts taste the same. This was ok. Kind of a let down after having the "one" a few minutes ago.
