(750ml bottle thanks to BlackSwan) clear medium gold with few bubbles, not effervescent in the least. Nose of an old chicken package left to rot, trash, whiskey, vanilla, and waffles. Bottle courtesy bu11zeye. Pours a very bright orange color with very light bubbles that ring the glass. Aroma is dry grains, sour notes, some sweet fruitiness and maybe a rice like nose. Flavor is certainly sour, dry warming notes and more tart. Very sharp on the palate.

Poured provided by Maltzilla. By this point of the night my palate was so shot that I didn’t bother taking notes. However I do recall this being a fairly decent beer. Pours a medium copper color with a very thin off-white head and a spot or two of lacing on the edges of the glass. The nose brings a prominent whiskey character forward, and this then eventually gives way to a light citrus sourness. This is a better example of a whiskey sour than the beer from Short’s by that name was. Mili cherry and some oak as well. The flavor isn’t quite as reminiscent of an 18-year-old’s favorite mixed drink, but it’s still pretty enjoyable. Finish has a bit of whiskey burn from a sourness that goes well with it. Original and interesting; highly enjoyable. Perhaps more so than the bottled version seems to be.
