Coffee (not overpoweringly so), tobacco, dark chocolate. Fantastic bold flavours. Medium, powdery body. Excellent.

Black beer, thick beige bubbly head. Aroma of toasty malt and coffee. Flavour is coffee, vanilla, chocolate, some caramel. Bit thin. Not spectacular but very drinkable.

Handpump at Cask Pub and Kitchen in London. Deep black pour, little foam. Nose: black chocolate, cappuccino, strong coffee bean. Mouth: strong coffee infusion, easy and rich stout with raw notes of coffee. Good one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask at The Hop Inn, Newcastle-Under-Lyme. A black colour with a medium beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee, some chocolate, slight caramel and subtle hazelnut. Taste of roasted malts, coffee, some chocolate, slight caramel, a little hazelnut and subtle earth. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. A dryish, roasted, coffee bitterness in the finish. A less powerful aroma compared to the bottle version but this is a lot more balanced. Very roasty and well bodied for its strength. Good.

Iznogud (3796) - CROATIA - MAY 4, 2016

On cask @ Southampton Arms, London - UK. Color : deep dark black beer with no carbonation and small brown heavy head. Smell: coffee domination, roasted malt and caramel. Chocolate finish. Taste: light body, roasted malt and coffee malt. Domination of coffee taste and chocolate finish. Good attenuation. Aftertaste: caramel and small bitterness balance. Very nice beer, for me the body is too light...

Cask. Pours coffee dark brown with small head. Aroma is coffee! cocoa beans, light milky chocolate, coffee berries, dark roast. Taste is similar, coffee beans, fruity coffee, light acidic, fresh press coffee, dark chocolate and dry cocoa powder in finish. This reminds me of cold brew. Very light and with some fruity blackberries. Nice coffee stout!

Origin: Tap. Vessel: Tankard. Supplier: Small Bar (Bristol). Rich and smoky but too flat.
