Pitch black, some head, but too caramel taste, too nauseating...I didn’t like it much kwik-lime (1999) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 2, 2011
Not the most complex but a good stout, dominated by roasted malt with some coffee and chocolate. Nice beer. chriso (7583) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 3, 2011
Cask (gravity dispense) at the Pigs Ear Beer Festival, London on 6 December 2006. Dark reddish brown colour – not quite opaque. Roast malt in the aroma with touches of fruit. Lots of licorice and some chocolate in the flavour. Quite light, even slightly watery mouthfeel. Decent, but not the biggest stout – I was expecting a little more impact and excitement.
