Cask at PoW, Farnborough. Feint malty and slightly sour aroma. Light chestnut/copper. Decent beige head. Sweetly bitter (if that’s a thing). Hops, spices, dried fruit, mince meat. Medium bodied. Soft carbonation. However there’s a pithy element to the mouthfeel. Long finish. Any enjoyable ESB.

Cask at the Tockwith Festival. Copper with a nice foamy off white head. Mild fruity malt aroma. The taste has plenty of toffee, caramel and stewed fruit plus a touch of aniseed. Pretty tasty bitter.

Gravity Cask at the St Neots Booze on the Ouse Beer Festival, 2016. Reddish brown, translucent. Woody, toffee aroma. Taste is sweet and malty. Very clean with a lip-smacking finish of caramel, chocolate and red berry. Medium body. Well executed but unbelievably unexciting for a Dark Star beer.
